    TransAMerica,

NExt time you go to a Rockets game and sit right behind the bench, to prove everyone here wrong, do something that'll get you on TV. Hold up a sign. Or start a fight with John Amaechi by taunting him incessantly. Or, better yet, run out and grab Jeff Van Gundy's leg and scream, "This is for Alonzo Mourning!"

I would rather read one of those stupid trade proposals - at least we know they are not claiming to be giving us "insight" into the team!

The best thing about this web-site is that the
bunch of morons who use it try and get real information about the Rockets to other fans!

Who is the moron? The one who wants to talk about the real Rockets or the one who wants to bash the players he hates and claim that the coach is sick of them... you tell me...

Hardly comparable, but you know that. Plus, doesn't that discussion belong in the D&D.

Ok, you crazy kids with way too much time on your hands, I guess I have to respond (going to post this on both threads):

    1. Sixers game - never said I was behind the bench. I said I was within an "earshot" near the floor. See the post title? Couldn't hear everything, but like I said, the arena wasn't all that noisy because the Sixers were getting crushed, so yes, you could hear quite a bit, especially when you're directly across where the coaches are yelling.

    2. Toronto game - Nope you're right, there is no row B as I checked the Air Canada Ctr. Again, I went to the game with a friend who's a ticket broker, I asked him where precisely our seats were, and that's what he told me, so my apologies. We had 1 row of seats in front of us. I had no idea you folks would get so wound up for relaying coverage that wasn't positive for our beloved Rocks.

Honestly, for you people who are skeptics answer me this question: Why would I have any motive to make any of this sh*t up? Isn't that a monumental waste of time? Actually, don't answer that question. Not interested. You're entitled to be suspicious.

Seriously. I'm interested in hearing thoughts on my opinions on the game and relaying info. just like every other freak on this board. That's it.

I like the Rockets. I only bash them when I get frustrated because they play like high schoolers or if they don't cover their spreads. :) But why the hell would I put on the friggin the billboard of all billboard a bunch of lies? What if JVG or Colin Pine or someone else within the Rocket org read these threads? Don't you think I'd be busted then?

I guess the mistake with regards to the ticket caused all the questioning, and if I was psychotic with little else important in my life, I'd have a similar angry response.

If it will make the people on this thread feel better and add a little less psychosis on this board, I'll track down the damn ticket and scan it for you all if it will make you go to your happy place.

But the reality is, in the Toronto game, the Rockets failed because they didn't listen to JVG. Sorry you don' t like it. I'm pissed that they lost too, I guess, but don't kill the messenger. I really don't care if you believe me or not and not going to spend any more energy defending myself, but man, you guys need to chill out.

Anyways, believe it or not, I don’t really care either way. Sorry for the disruption. I had no idea. See you on the next post. :)

    Peace

Actually, at the Air Canada Centre, the rows on the floor are lettered.

The numbered rows would be the seats BEHIND the boards when there is a hockey game. Since a basketball court takes up less space, the lettered rows are the rows they manage to squeeze in FRONT of the boards for a basketball game.

Go to raptors.com and click on tickets. Select "best seat" and you'll find a ticket with a lettered row. They're in the $545-$645 range.

don't really know if its true or not, but I think its an interesting read all the same. Someone suggested taht you make a sign or do something at the next game you go to so you can stand out and prove to all the doubters that its you. Let us know what you will do/wear before the game and prove them wrong.

I for got to add in my previous post that have no reason to doubt he wasn't at the Air Canada Centre. If there was only one row of seats in front of him on the floor, his ticket row would indeed be Row B.

Hey guys, I just wanted to say that I was only trying to verify what Tranmerica34 posted earlier. I'm a natural sceptic about things like this and I wanted to make sure the information made sense before just believing it.

Tranmerica34: If this all turns out to be true, I'll be the first one to say I'm truly sorry for doubting you. I will definately look forward to your future insider game reports!

btw dfoolz: you are a fool! :p (haha ok sorry, no more name calling now. just messing around with you.) :p

    1) 5 minutes investigation is not "too much time on your hands"

    2) Your summary still proves that you just want to bash the guards and/or JVG's control of the team, or the team's lack of respect for him. And we're still inclined to believe we lost due to a depth problem, and running on fumes. You can look at the obvious, or add a controversial "Rockets failed because they didn't listen to JVG" slant to it. Which really just adds to the negativity in here... fiction hurts more than the truth. The truth is the Rockets didn't handle their business early, and ran out of gas.

    3) Sorry you don' t like it. ...you guys need to chill out. No. Sorry you don't like the fact that we're skeptical of stories that are way out there and have an overall bashing tone, and otherwise serve no purpose. We read between the lines here too ya' know. There is no possible way you can claim to remember word for word all of those "quotes" you make. If you meant to say, "They said something along these lines..." as a preface, then that's your bad. If you meant to say, "This what I thought they must have said..." then that's your bad for not saying so... but these symbols---> " " <---indicate a real quote, as in verbatim... This why you got so many responses about putting words in people's mouth... that is what you did.

So instead of debate you on the quotes and their accurracy, we looked up your supposed "seats." Which most definitely are not in "ear shot" of a coach... and on that note:

    1) A coach does not scream directions or plays in a huddle out to the opposite side of the court.

    2) While a coach may yell to a player during live play, it is usually in code, and includes hand signals to convey the message... not a full, easily understandable by the opposition, sentence that any english speaking human could repeat with ease of remembrance.

    3) Still, how could you remember all of that in detail and not remember your seat row and number? The day of, or next day?

We'd like to believe you... in fact we mostly did... and do... but the inconsistencies force us to lean the other direction... the direction of "fiction."

Perhaps you were there. And if so, "Good for you." But you don't have to make up stories to make friends. And IMO the quotes are fictionalized.

"A" for effort. "A" for getting to go to the games. "F" for adding fiction and trying to pass it on as fact with the rest of the truth.

I believe you may have been there. Just not the quotes.

Stop arguing semantics. Who gives a crap about the quotes. If you read 3 articles from 3 different Professional Sports Writers that supposedly quoted something from the same sports personality, you will notice that they all have slightly different language in them. The gist of it is the same and unless this is a court of law (which it's beginning to feel like), generally that is enough.
I read the Chronicle all the time and notice these slightly different quotes from the same situation. I've always wondered about it since they seem to have tape recorders and stuff for this situation. But I guess some of them just write it down immediately afterwards and that's why they're not the same.
