    1. I never admit that crap to myself.
    2. You want to learn Japanese? Then don't complain about how hard it is just take a class, internet course, rosetta stone etc...
    3. I am 5'11" and dunked my first basketball when I was about 30. I was not in the best shape of my life and was not even wearing tennis.... I was wearing hiking boots. Every time my son and I would go to the park to shoot the basket ball I always jumped for the rim, I've done it my whole life with the knowledge that I would never dunk. But then that one day it all came together and I muscled the ball over the rim. The moral is don't give up.
    4. Take time to enjoy the things you can do that you enjoy. I will never be a Houston Rocket but I sure get a lot of joy out of watching them play ball.

There are too many things great about living with out being down about those things you can't do.

If you had asked me a couple of months ago I would've said, "the only thing I was coming to grips with was my guitar playing" or lack of. What made it worst was everybody hounding me to pick it up again. (it's been almost 18 years for the acoustic, 25 years for the electric).

Then I got a Schecter. Then I bought a Roland. No more "coming to grips" here!

Point is, you'll probably live for a very long time and you'll have oodles of time to accomplish most of your desires...uh, realistic desires.

Yeah, I want a date with Rachel Welch, but that's not happening...

I know how you feel and a few years back I was feeling kind of depressed that injuries and age had pretty much done in doing competitive martial arts. Its still something I miss and always have the urge to go out for Judo and MMA tournaments but my body probably won't be able to take it.

This thread goes with the regret thread in terms of thinking about how you might've changed your life. Unfortunately there's a lot of stuff that you will never get to accomplish in your life but that doesn't mean you can't have a very fulfilling life. In the end its best not to dwell on those things and make the most of the life you have now. Yes you are probably not going to be able to dunk a ball but there are still a lot of other interesting and exciting things you can do. Anyway as other posters have said you are still young and still have a lot of time for all sorts of experiences.

Totally this. I was quite the naive nerd back in high school and didn't get any. Not because I was unpopular, but I just didnt know how to 'ask for sex'. Now that I know how to get a girl in bed, I can't help but wonder what teen sex would've be like.

Quite awesome, if I remember correctly. And thank God for creating Young Life, the best way to meet impressionable teenage girls who know Jesus will forgive their weekend sins if they make YL on Monday and Campaigners on Wed.

(Yes I cruised Young Life for sex in high school and yes God has punished me by blessing me with two beautiful outgoing daughters...you reap what you sow.)

proves what I suspected in high school, that Young Life was full of hypocrites. (No offense to those of you who were doing it right.)

Don't know that I have too much I wanted to accomplish and didn't. There are benefits to not having much ambition.

NBA was always my goal, but those goals quickly were shattered after my senior year in highschool. 5'9 Guard who isn't as quick as a lot of others just wont make it.

Become a football player. Toughest pill to swallow. I don't think I'll ever be over it.

Also, I gave up musical instruments at a young age. I could play all metallica and nirvana sings at age 8. ALL OF THEM!! Then gave up the guitar for 10 years. I wonder what would have been.
