Coming around to Jalen Green

I'm all for moving back to 3 or 4 and letting someone else make this damn decision. I sure can't.

That's true, but this kid is still just 19 and he's already 6'6 without shoes as of the start of the G league season, he could potentially add an inch or two over the coming years.

I think the big difference here is that TMac was an amazing defender before his body broke down and that's not Green's calling card at all.

He's not that tall

 

He is though. They do official measurements in the NBA G League and he was 6'6 as of the start of the season.

Seems like a lot of people think Green is definitely shorter than his listed height. Why?

 

I doubt it that’s why he’s afraid to get measured again

 

Appears smaller and not that long when you watch him.

He’s been saying away from being measured again.

Seems about the same size as players that where listed shorter then him.

I'm not sure, but when you have official measurements done by the NBA, it comes off as conspiracy theory to suggest they are lies.

 

Its really hard to judge height on clips too. He doesn’t look particularly small to me.

Can’t wait because if he is a legit 6’6 I’m taking him over Mobley then.

I know it’s ridiculous one inch is the difference between two players for me but it is that close for me and I also believe he is more 6’3 or 6’4 and if he is I’m going Mobley.

Just watch him closely he seems shorter….but like I said if he measures a legit 6’6 I’m running to the podium.

 

Well if he's only 6'3 or 6'4 and the NBA lied about the height measurements, it's pretty bad news for Jonathan Kuminga who tried to bill himself at 6'8 before the NBA measured him at 6'6

 

What is your opinion on Donovan Mitchell? His wingspan is ridiculous but he’s only like 6’1

 

People are watching lots of highlights of Green right now many of which are from multiple years ago when he was shorter -- he is legit 6' 6".

 

Just go look at his last game in the GLeague vs the Raptors 905 squad. That raptors team had on the roster as guards: Rawle Akins 6'5", Jarron Cumberland 6'5", Kevon Harris 6'6", Jalen Harris 6'5", Nik Stauskas 6'6"

Look at the film. Guys who are screaming "he's only 6'2 or 6'3" need to go get a new eye exam. Wondering why he hasnt been measured? Why didnt any of the top prospects get measured at the combine? Marketing.

Watch the film. Look up guys who defend him and then use some deductive reasoning. Green is a legit 6'5 and will probably round out around 6'6 or 6'7 by the time he's 21.

 

This sounds speculative, what are the basis of these 'big questions'?

 

Why is it simple? Strong cases can be made for Green, Mobley, and even Suggs at 2.
