So now they're saying that Thor is essentially like Green Lantern and anyone who holds his hammer, Mjolnir, is Thor? That's lame.
Interested in the changes, though I'm pretty sure that if you don't like any of the changes, wait a year or two and everything is more or less the way you thought it was. What they did with the Spiderman retcon a few years ago was tragic though, pretty much erased all the work the couple years before.
I welcome this news. Inner city kids need more people to look up to other than Louis Farrakhan, 50 Cent, Lebron James, Quannel X, Richard Sherman, Neil Degrasse Tyson, Jay Z, and the esteemed Reverend Jessie Jackson.
I want to see a black Catwoman with a PHAT ass in those black, vinyl tights that require a can-opener to peel off.
It's a little different. There's only 1 Thor, there's thousands of Green Lanterns in various sections of the universe.
Here in Singapore they banned an Archie comics issue where Archie dies taking a bullet to protect a gay wedding couple.
I tried to catch up with what's going on with Cap today and what the hell? Sam Wilson, the new cap, is banging Arnim Zola's daughter?? I know he must be doubly pissed about that one, lol
Meh. It's really not that big of a deal. They are still keeping the writers Aaron and Remender and although I dropped off on Captain America pretty quickly into Remender's run, Aaron is a great writer. It's not a bad thing to keep making things fresh in comics and they aren't retconning anything because both Thor and Steve are still going in the universe since it takes place in the same one. They probably will relaunch another Captain America and Thor when their movies come out, just like they did for Spider-Man and both Steve and Thor will be back to their titles. I just wished they wouldn't have everything for 4 dollars an issue. That and the point issues. WHY NOT JUST MAKE IT AN ISSUE?
Slowly moving toward Web/Digital comics It is strange to not have the paper in hand .. . but ok a bit cheaper too . . . . IndyPlanet.com is pretty decent. Rocket River
There is no way I can justify paying money for digital comics. Plus half the fun of collecting is trying to find and fill those holes in your collection. The only bad side is the massive amount of boxes that takes up space. Thank God I keep them all bagged and boarded and in the guest room so the lady doesn't get upset at my hobby. The only really thing I've used for digital is the Marvel Unlimited subscription. Just to read some of the early Marvel that I could never afford. Wish DC would do that.
I definitely understand this I have been looking for different comics than THE BIG 2 [Marvel and DC] So digital at least offers the opportunity to see new things without a bit investment in fact some are ONLY available in digital format but Indyplanet offers Print on demand which is kool Rocket River
