I thought one of the Captain Americas was black in the comics. Not Sam Wilson. Spoiler And then there's Bucky Barnes. But isn't this announcement kind of a spoiler for the movies?
I really want some more detail on what the hell they are thinking with making Thor a woman. Also, I wonder why the announce these changes ahead of time and spoil the big reveal for whatever readers they do have. I know they want to get people to go and buy this historic issue or whatever, but I would think you'd want to surprise people with it, and allow it to become a big story when readers discover it.
Marvel has dozens of them. Captain America has been around since the 40's, and is popular, so people actually care.
There's a biracial Spiderman (Miles Morales) -- it's Ultimate Spiderman I believe. He's in Houston also. He's not the ONLY Spiderman though. In fact there's a crossover called Spiderverse (either it's out or coming out) that contains every iteration of Spiderman ever. (There's a LOT)
The ability to retcon something sometimes allows for new ideas to develop. It's not always terrible. Plus, there's a lot of casual fans in here, including myself. If comics were that much of a turn off, comics wouldn't be such a huge thing. Captain America already has staying power. If a new character is introduced, it'll take time to get fans. And if people don't buy that particular comic, then it'll get tougher and tougher to invent new characters, if only because no one cares that much.
They Lazy They don't want to invest in and support it They just want the cash cows to make cash Hell Falcon was great on his own . . .without needing the uniform but . . they never developed it Rocket River
More relatable version of Superman . .. without the super Rocket River This won't last long IMO . . .I give it 2 yrs. . TOPS!
