I have no problem with your assessment that he might not be A level material.

But what is A list material? It is actually what you just said.....

Nowadays they are the most bankable actors around.

Let us just talk about the Brits and why they are such fundamentally sound actors and actresses.

A lot of them are well trained and honed in their craft.

Whatever list you are, does not reflect your talent. For all I care, you can be a C list actor and still be talented.

A,B,C lists just reflect how well known and bankable that actor is.

    Back to the Fresh Prince:
I watched 7 pounds and Pursuit of Happiness and I thought they were good.

But hey I am just a regular movie buff, you don't have to convince me.

That said he is certainly not a great actor. I think he can still be better than you think but he better up his game while getting older.

    He was fantastic in Ali.

His first movie was a dramatic role and was generally well regarded.

Clearly, the decision to go with these strong accents for Concussion & After Earth were poor choices. Hopefully he quits doing that.

As long as Will Smith has Deadshot's mask on the majority of the movie(highly doubt it) I don't mind him being in this movie at all.

Are there any rumors or news if Leto's joker will appear in future movies?

I really want to be excited for this, but I'm just not.

I really like Leto (despise the look they gave him), and I'm stoked about finally seeing a live action Harley Quinn, but the rest of the squad just feels like an afterthought. Judging by the marketing, they clearly realize Harley is the crown jewel.

As always writing will make or break the movie, so we'll see.

Since Ben Affleck's Batman shows up in this film, and DC trying to copy Marvel's movie universe formula, I can't see how he won't. Joker is the most iconic Batman villain, and I think we see him and Margot Robbie (who they've basically marketed as the star of this film) in at least 1 Batman movie.

Whenever you see the Joker/Harley in any form; comics, cartoons, tv shows, animated movies, they are always in the forefront. Those two characters are iconic.

I feel the same way about the rest of the team, but am still very excited about the movie.

I think casting Will Smith as Deadshot was a mistake, because he just feels to big for the role. While big-time actors have played hero/villain roles successfully, they were generally a main attraction to the film. I just don't know if I can watch Will Smith in this movie and think of him as Deadshot rather than Will Smith (when he wears the mask, it isn't a problem). The rest of the cast haven't really been marketed.

    Still, I remain very optimistic

I think so too but don't think he'll be horrible...personally I would have rather had Karl Urban as Deadshot.....

Minor stuff aside, I can't wait for this and SvB...

This will be the first time on live film for Harley Quinn, which is awesome. I never knew growing up watching animated Batman series in the 90s that she was created on that show (which means she didn't exist during the previous live action TV shows or movies with The Joker). She just brings so much fun to the traditional dark and serious tones of Batman (as does Joker).

Have you seen the animated movie for Suicide Squad? I really enjoyed that movie along with the rest of the animated DC movies. They bring in a darker theme to the movies and I'm hoping that's what they did with this movie.

I thought he did a great job in Concussion. I completely forgot he was Will Smith and just saw him as the character.

I haven't. I rarely watch animated movies (outside of theatrical releases), but I really should because I always liked them growing up, and the DC releases are so frequently well reviewed.

I highly recommend you watch the DC animated movies. I was skeptical at first but the majority of them are very good.

My GF who doesn't watch anything comic book related, nonetheless comic book animated movies, really liked the animated Suicide Squad movie. She thought Harley quinn was awesome.

Flashpoint Paradox is a really good one, and it's relevant to the stuff on TV now too, at least in some ways.

Going to echo those saying everyone should give the DC animated stuff a shot.

Some great adaptions of famous comic story lines and originals as well.

I've enjoyed just about all of them, few I haven't usually aren't produced by Bruce Timm which isn't an accident...

The only problem I have with the casting was that Cara de Levigne should've been Harley Quinn if we're basing it on looks.

I'm not crazy about Will Smith as Deadshot but I don't hate it either. The guy that plays Deadshot in Arrow is exceptional.

I find this one of the coolest stories about a character genesis in the comic universe. Almost ALWAYS characters are introduced in the comics to see how they go...its easy to introduce a new character. For every 100 that are introduced, 1 sticks basically.

I find it fascinating that this character was made for the animated series. The first COMIC introduction was after she was on TV, and it still was in the comic adaption of the cartoon series, not in the main Batman or Detective comic series. BTW: Her first comic appearance fetches a pretty penny on eBay if you have one laying around. (Batman Adventures #12)
