if anything, its harder to do in college...the shot clock is 35 seconds....makes the defense have to foul more (as opposed to possibly letting the clock run down with good defense) and put the other team on the line more often
If you are down by 10 with 1 minute to go, you have to foul no matter whether the shot clock is 24 seconds or 35 seconds. Also, comparing college game defense with Pop's Spurs defense is like comparing a virgin with a 40-year old woman with 3 kids. Totally different!
Wrong! Let's assume that TMac can AT WORST shoot 3pters at 50% (which he can't) and Reggie can AT BEST shoot 3pters at 30% (which he shoots much higher), then: P(4 3pters in a row|TMac) = .5 x .5 x .5 x .5 = 6.25% P(2 3pters in a row|Reggie) = .3 x .3 = 9% Just by that what TMac did is far more improbable.
Reggies was a more important game by far, but I would say t-mac's performance was more impressive, due to the fact he had to make 4 treys in a row with men in his face or bumping into him, also the shots t-mac shot were not set shots like at least the one where reggie stepped back (after knocking the guy to the floor) and shot was. Either way both performances are very impressive. I just think t-macs was a little bit better. however no way as important.
i give up...u just either don't get it or....you don't get it...anyway...regardless, Reggie's blows Tmac's out of the water
Exactly more point. Even T-Mac's points per seconds ratio was lower, his 13 point performance is far more impresive since it was a much longer span. If you count by points per seconds, its hard to beat Fisher's 2 points/ 0.4 seconds, which is 5 points per seconds.
ok...now factor in a road game in one of the most unfriendly arenas in the NBA especially if your name is Reggie Miller and oyu play for the Pacers...oh yeah...and its a playoff game
well your argument didn't factor in who was guarding whom and whether Miller had to run the whole court before taking those shots.
