Let's look at a bit of the past. The Rockets history? a classy organization that has always had a good reputation for players enjoying and being treated well. Tracy's history? Well, how about a me-first person who has quit on teams and is generally not liked when he leaves town. If Tracy wants to play so bad, why can't he just wait to play at the first available practice? Wouldn't this be better for the team? Shouldn't he know that? or does he just believe that he can go out there without any practice? The team does not want a repeat of last year! As far as playing him off the bench. Do you really think Tracy would be happy coming off the bench, without causing a big stink? Leave Rick to do what he needs to do which is coach and leave Tracy to do want he's needs to do which is practice and get healthy. Remember when Stevie wanted to play? Everyone was like coach knows best.......well coach knows best. So have some humble pie. I think the thing Tracy does best is "whine" and being a"self-centered" player.
Preach!!!! I couldn't have said it better. Just get him back on the court, he's ready to play, don't act like he's not. Adelman is really just using McGrady to make money off his insurance. That post was just perfect.
If you don't know who Tracy McGrady is, you just aren't a true rockets fan. Tracy McGrady is the best player to ever play in our team, along with Yao Ming.
Hmm yeah you're right I forgot about Hakeem.. Still, both tracy and yao are some of the best to ever play for the rockets.
Lets not forget about Moses Malone, Ralph Sampson, Calvin Murphy, Clyde Drexler, and Elvin Hayes. Just to name a few.
There is something you tmac lovers need to understand. The Rockets organization does not care about getting past first/second round. They want to win championships. They already know they have no shot at winning it this year. So what is their goal this year? Its to have their players improve. They want Ariza, Brooks, Lowry, Scola, Buddinger, EVERYONE to get better. They want them to learn how to play in a system where more than 2 players actually touch the ball. So bringing in Tmac is not going to help. Tmac is a ball stopper. He does not fit into this system. He is the kind of player those plays best in isolation situations. While i admit we need someone like that for fourth quarters, we dont want that for the first three quarters. Basically Tmac will ruin what they want to do. AGAIN- I am not saying they will play worse then Tmac, I am saying he just doesnt fit in what they want to do. If you happy with another first or second round exit then i feel sorry for you. This season is about the future. Why do you think they let Ariza try and fail at driving to the basket. Why do you think they are letting him lead the teams in attempts but shoot below 40%. Believe me, I am probably more frustrated with their dumb pull up threes, TOs driving to the basket, Scola going crazy, and all other horrible things but its about the future. And that future does not have McGrady in it. So why play a player that they know will mess their style up now and will not be on the team next year.
How does anyone "Forget" Hakeem?? He only won us two championships, you know, and is one of the greatest centers to ever play the game....i'm just saying...
Guys I'm being sarcastic this rookie is believing everything that I post hahaha that's why u a rookie
volume shooter now, but one of the most gifted and the best players in the league when with the magic and maybe the 1st year here. not anymore, not after the injury. not anymore, but he still is a veteran player with a couple of seasons as a scoring champion.

There are more bashing threads than appreciation thread in this forum, I think. No matter what the players do, fans can always find something to bash them. Fans never satisfied, I guess. But that's not their fault. They love the team so much. So sometimes, I think we should step back a little bit and look at Rox not as a Rox fan. Then we will find how great Rox is and how great every player is, including TMac.
