People that hate on Mcgrady are the people that are giving up on this year and want our team to grow for the future. I for one, think this team can do damage with the return of Tracy. Games that come to mind, home against La, and away against Sac and of course tonights. The Yao expiriment isnt working.

ok if you look at it that way, then yes the yao ming experiment was successful, but yao slows us down overall and his defense is overrated (no offense, but any guy that is 7'6" is expected to play some sort of good defense, that's a given) t-mac may not of gotten us outta the first round, but he's always stepped it WAY up come playoff time, plus, last time i checked, it took a team effort to win games, not just one player. :p

Tracy and Yao expiriment didnt make it past the first round. If Yao didnt play sub par against Dallas or Utah, we would have won both series. Mcgrady raised his level of play and Yao just played inconsistent. Shouldn't the bigger player with the huge height advantage who takes easier shots have a better chance at raising his level of play rather than playing below it. It wasn't Mcgradys fault that we lost, it was the Rockets.

it is the benefit for both the rockets and tmac to have clearance w/the piece of mind to have everything cleared by the doctors.

if tmac starts to breakdown, his mind will wonder if he's damaged goods. with the mindset that everything has been cleared, tmac will play with even more confidence.

personally, mac has to be a professional and keep with the schedule. adelman and the trainers know better than any fan when it's right to come back a play full go.

i don't agree with solomon very often, but he's right on cue here.

what perplexes me throughout the day was their refusal to let tmac even PRACTICE during training camp. PRACTICE PEOPLE, PRACTICE.

i hope they just let him play after 11/23 so they can just trade him quick. we don't need anymore drama.

the warriors fans are ready to part with ellis and maggette here in golden state for tmac.

For months? Oh, yeah, that's standard. Gotta get in line early for those MRIs, you know. Ca't just have them done whenever you want. And only in practices on Nov. 23 can one be properly evaluated for readiness. "from solomon's response"

why couldn't the practice be on november 9 (their last full practice) and have the MRI done then? or what about whatever is after 11/23?

Where did this Nov 23 date come from anyway? McGrady kept saying he would be good to go by training camp, training camp came and suddenly the team came up with this solidified date as to when they would consider him returning. I'm all for leaving him out until he's healthy, but I'm not for waiting for a stupid date. If he's practising well and shown enough to demonstrate he will be in the line-up consistently, play him...if not, don't. But at least be honest with the fans and not just say "we're waiting for our date we just plucked out of our ass". Tell the truth guys.

i guess the new policy is to wait 2 months before you can get an MRI. thank god we don't do that at my hospital. or else you get sued with the quickness.

patient: "hey doc, can i get an MRI for my injury?"
doc: "sure, lemme see...you have to wait 2-3 months from now. sorry, it's the new policy."

Yao does play "some sort of good defense." For the first time since Yao's rookie season, the Rockets are only a middle of the pack defensive team rather than near the top of the league. It's not a coincidence.

I think McGrady will be active for Wednesday's game against Dallas. That was the plan all along.

Seriously, what the hell does this have anything to do with practice ?

T-Mac has been working hard since after his microfracture surgery has been done to him.By comparison in the pictures and video,he apparently seems more in shape than he was last year.

Coach, let's have at it,don't hesitate,it could hurt fans' feeling and spoil the opportunities to get better.

play him or trade him. Freezing him is the most foolish way.

I'm waiting for result of MRI and the subsequent decision of organization. Things will turn clear by then.

Nobody cares what he wants. But if the MRI and practice go well (which is likely) they will kinda be forced to bring him back.

I will take the hardest working, most dominant post scoring, injury prone, classy player...

...Far ahead of the talented, Non-defending, Non-hustling, 4th quarter jumper chucking, team quitting, teammate tossing, injury prone diva that is Tracy McGrady...

Any money the Rockets will get the MRI and say "it showed things are healing but there's still a little way to go" and continue to hold him out.
