I think in the first episode of Dwight's show in CSN, they showed him working out, and I believe he was doing squats as part of it. Could be wrong. It certainly wasn't heavy weight.
Back in high school (so about 15-16 years ago), I believe I could regular squat at least 225 (maybe more) and box squat up to 405 maybe a couple of times. I'm 8" shorter than D-Mo and don't have a multi-millionaire basketball career to not screw up by overdoing it at the gym, so I can understand these guys not lifting small countries like J.J. Watt can probably do. I also recall, being a tall, skinny guy, that squats were a pain in the arse, because my torso was long, my shoulders are not broad enough to support the bar firmly, and the distance to from standing to thighs parallel to the ground is much longer.
I always have trouble posting pics, anyway, this one is of that 8 month pregnant woman doing a squat. Technique is everything! https://m.facebook.com/crossfit/pho...7676/?type=1&source=48&locale2=en_US&__tn__=E
Sure, I do em all the time, in my driveway Seriously come on guys the lad is 7' tall and in the middle of basketball season. It's hard to play basketball with jell-o legs from back squatting.
Most people never come anywhere close to doing this lol. Overtraining is hard work...and most people don't want to work hard.
