C'mon, you were changing your name in the chat from "hayesfan" to "hayesfan_believes" then to "hayesfan_sad" in the middle of the game. :p

Which wasn't getting too high or too low on the bbs... ;) It was me responding to the game live. I just get frustrated coming in here and seeing everyone all "we suck" or "we're awesome" after every single game.

Plus I went back to watch the parts of the game I missed because of happy hairdos and felt good about the team again. We just went freaking ice cold from the field in the second half. We shot something crazy in the third quarter... like 5-22 or something like that.

I guess its just part of being a Houston sports fan. :) Not just here but also happens at the Texans board too. When we win, everyone is on their high horse and when we lose, negativity is released and the "fire so & so" and "bench so & so" or "trade so & so" threads come out.

This team will have its ups and downs so not suprised about last night...this team has heart, hustles its A$$ off and has a great offensive gameplan so wait till we see the finish product and then pass judgement.

Last night's loss really REALLY sucked, but you're right, can't get too down about it. Overall, this team is looking pretty good here in the early going.

No one should expect this team to be winning every game. Just wanna see them play their ass off and they have. The meltdown before the half was tough to watch. However, It was against a tough opponent at full strength on their home floor. Dallas made the adjustments and derailed the Rox. Tonight, I expect this team to be back on track. So far they have only lost to good teams. My only expectations for this team currently is to beat the teams they are supposed to beat .

Golden State is not a good team, yet we almost lost to them. In fact they are like the Rockets in the regard that they are a running team. The problem is that in most instances, you can't do that for 48 minutes. Good teams will run with you and then when they need to execute, they will.

We had a good beginning to the season, but we shouldn't get too excited yet or set our expectations to high. I still think that unless T-Mac comes back in the first 30 games, we're not winning more than 30-40 games.

Didn't we beat Golden State? The Rox running, hustle style is definitely hard to maintain for 48 minutes for a full season. It has not been proven i don't think to be effective in playoffs, but it sure is fun to watch.

Watching that game, it seems like the team was missing a bunch of shots it had made decently most of the season. It happens, but the bigger thing to me seems to be that the defense, especially the transition defense, went bad, too, when the shots stopped falling. Like I said elsewhere, it's not like the Rockets hasn't had stinkers like this before in 50+ win seasons. Adelman is a good enough coach to fix things to the extent they can be fixed.

this is the year that is supposed to be FUN for rocket fans. enjoy the ride. no one is expecting us to do anything.

there will be peaks and valleys, and it should be a fun roller coaster ride.

however, to the game, it should be over if we played some semblance of defense in the first half. we were ridiculously hot offensively and yet ONLY had a 17 point lead because dallas shot well too.

when they started making their runs, guys started playing 1-on-1 and they're not 1-on-1 players. these guys need to remain in the system if they want to do well offensively.

but defense is the key here. i think the guys are getting caught up in this run and gun style and just stopped playing defense last night. we cannot be like the suns.

i honestly thought we'd be 1-6 at this point at best 2-5 not 4-3 so its cool

that mavs team is good, i mean pretty damn good they did beat the lakers in LA and they just got josh howard back.

just cant let that tough loss carry over to tonight thats all

It would be interesting if our hot shooting streak started by 2nd half...... :D

the second half last night was the only time i was completely unimpressed and disappointed with the rockets but really i was just mad cz we lost to dallas, them guys is douche bags and we shouldve beat LA the last 24 seconds of that game were officiated horribly but seeing our schedule .500 until it breaks would be nice, of course i think we'll be a little better than that but thats just my homerism i suppose :p
