Either computer too slow, not enough RAM, or graphics card isn't good enough. Or a combination of all of those. Happens to me too sometimes cause the graphics card on my laptop isn't that great.

Processor not good enough to handle HD streaming. You can try resetting your PRAM, but it's not going to help. It's your processor.

I have that problem as well in my apartment, but it works fine on campus. I think it's the connection more than anything else.

In almost every case, it's the processor.

His connection was more than sufficient to handle the stream, in this case, it's not an internet issue. It's a hardware issue. I work for Apple. The PowerPC processor isn't going to handle the stream, especially if it's a single core.

Not yet, no. The data usage would also be incredibly intense, so I doubt service providers would be happy about that.

Capitalism takes over once again.. As soon as the general public eats up on something, the man with the suit and ties takes it away...

Is there anyway to access sites like Hulu or ABC.com to watch shows outside the USA?

I've read some stuff on google about proxymasks, etc....but also read that hulu can tell that you are trying to hide your ip.

I thought there was some kind of firefox addon, but can't find anythign on it.

Anyone successfully watching shows on those channels outside of the US?

It'll take longer than you think. Comcast bought a lot of cheap fiber after the bust and they've manage to take over NBC.

This is a company that could swallow other telecoms.

The days of relevant TV shows being free on hulu.com are numbered. It was inevitable but Comcast buying NBC will speed up the process. I prefer watching hulu to using my DVR, but if they mess hulu up, I'll go back to completely relying on my DVR. The great thing about U-Verse is you can record up to 4 shows at once. 2-3 times during the week, two or more series I like overlap each other.

casttv allowed me to watch the final 5 episodes of Defying Gravity.
