To an extent, the providers are thinking about their customers. They could cave in and pay whatever rate CSN is asking for...but what if they did the same with Fox Networks, Viacom, etc? All those costs would increase cable bills a good amount. That is why the providers hold out...to get a better rate so they do not have to jack up the rates and possibly lose subscribers. Also, there are many folks who could give a rat's ass about basketball. Those people would not take too kindly to their bill going up to get a quick deal done to air games they don't care about.
i was about to head over there but got Hotspot Shield up and running and can now watch the game on league pass.
It became a downright ugly slew of comments, web streams, etc. People were almost unilaterally pissed off, and in lieu of public comment they took it down. They realized their advertiser's read that, also there was something of a protest downtown at the HQ today at noon. Bad PR, in short.
If your friend has comcast buy them a sling box & watch the games over the net you will be the only one streaming the game and you will get dam good quality
I thought about doing that but just pay for an extra box for him to be used just by me to watch the games,
I live in the Beaumont / Port Arthur area. Here, our only options are Time Warner Cable, Direct TV and Dish Network. I have Direct TV. We haven no ability to get Comcast at all. We are still in the blackout area for League Pass so I guess I will be stuck watching from crappy internet feeds. Three games and I am already really tired of this.
I will add to this that since the game is blacked out we can't see them at any restaurants or bars either since none of them have Comcast.
