Thanks man, I just bought the 5 team pass a second ago. This seems like such a simple solution to me right now. I don't know why I totally dismissed it before.
For those of you that don't know, if you have nba league pass mobile they never blackout the rockets games until a few days after. Ive been watching all the games on my ipad for a while now. They actually just updated the app and I'm a little scared to download the update, because they might've fixed this. Anyone know if that's the case??
Does anyone with HotSpot Shield know how to get the IP to change to a non-California one, so you can watch Rockets/Lakers or Clippers?
The only way I've seen is to pay for the premium service. And even then I'm not sure if you can choose a different US based IP or if it's just other countries, which wouldn't help any.
I just went with the premium service, it only provided options for different countries. I'm watching now. It's the Dallas feed, and a little pixelated thanks to my dsl connection, but it'll do. Thanks again.
I did the premium trial, and I never noticed an option to change states. Anyway, I do have a pretty fast connection (12 mbps) and I had a little lag issues in full screen mode, but it was fine on the regular size. Try switching to that.
Is anybody else using league pass broadband getting the "This game is unavailable due to technical difficulties" error?
yup im having issues with leaguepass broadband too...just shows the still black image with the nba logo rotating...wth!
Just a heads up, I stopped using HotSpot shield premium because it wasn't all that great for me. Now I am using PIA (Private Internet Access) , it's great and the servers are really fast in comparison. You can also choose from a ton of U.S servers. I frequently use the Florida one as I don't care for the Heat games and everything else isn't blacked out. https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/ oh and i was also having league pass problems earlier tonight. Looks like it's fixed now
Use this https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/ or hotspotshield. Those are the only ones i have experience with. Hotspot shield made my computer act funny and would lag sometimes though. The first one i linked doesn't but you have to pay for it. be sure to clear your cookies prior to watching (not sure about prior to ordering but i'd do it just in case) . Use CCleaner to clear the cookies you can order league pass in installments through your provider and once you've activated league pass on the nba website, cancel it . It'll cancel the satellite/cable portion of league pass but not broadband.
Did you ever activate your nba league pass broadband? If not, you're screwed. Your account number is no longer going to validate onto the NBA.com website and when that doesn't work they're going to ask for a copy of your satellite/cable bill with the current charges. If you did, it should STILL work as I originally ordered league pass through my cable provider, cancelled it, and to this day have been watching on league pass broadband (over 3 months now).
Rumor has it that the Rockets are going to be on ESPN Friday night? Does this mean I will get to watch my 3rd game of the season? Does anyone know where I can download a game program? My understanding is that there have been some roster changes since the last game I was able to watch on TV back in November. TIA.
YES, GOOD NEWS! This Friday, 9:30PM, Rockets vs. Warriors! ...and yet, it's sad that I'm this excited just to watch my third Rockets game of the season on TV instead of a ****ty internet stream. ....but still, GOOD NEWS! http://www.nba.com/schedules/national_tv_schedule/index.html
do we finally get one of our own to call the game, as in jvg? or will his crew be calling boston v atl?

Certainly gives credence to the idea that the Astros are the driving force in negotiations and they have no issue leaving the Rockets on a limb.
