Lock if posted. My household was starting to get fed up with the limited HD programming. We started looking into alternatives (DirecTV, Dish Network, U-Verse) just to get a better variety but this might hold us over and keep us with Comcast for at least a short while longer. Here's a list of new channels coming Monday (4/27) for those interested. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/ent/tv/6379114.html Comcast adds HD channels By DAVID BARRON Copyright 2009 Houston Chronicle April 17, 2009, 4:40PM Comcast will launch 27 high-definition channels and 10 additional digital channels April 27 on its Houston cable system. (539), Star Plus (723), Sony (724), Filipino Channel (725) and GMA Pinoy (726).
Funny, I was having the exact same thought. This is screwing me up... the Tivo guide has stuff in the 600's and no longer shows stuff in the 300's, even though signal's still going to the 300's and not the 600's. Messes up recordings.
and why the hell do I not have ESPN classic anymore? I had it Tuesday night, now all of a sudden I don't have it. This is BS! I need my classic boxing fix!
i will add this article to this thread since it has Comcast in the title... Now my question is this.. currently i have to pay extra to see NFL Network. Will i now have this channel along with my ESPNHD, NBATV, etc? Don't really care about ESPNU but i guess i'd rather have it than not. i really want NFL Network but have never thought it was fair to pay the 5 dollars a month or whatever to get it..
from what i've read, the "Digital Classic" package is what NFL Network will come with, which is what you need to buy if you pay for ESPN HD. am i wrong?
Comcast is the worst. I'm with AT&T Uverse and could not be happier after dealing with Comcast for a month.
