Its amazing how "getting back to fundamentals" can improve this team's blocking/tackling so drastically. You would think the coaches would have "gotten back to fundamentals" earlier on this season... like, say, TRAINING CAMP.
The announcer on CBS just said "The colts are going to take a knee. Becaue the coach knows he can run away with this in the 2nd half! " And then "I tell you what, this team of the Colts can hit back."
Not a good game to be missing your best WR... for once, we've been able to run the ball, and it looks like its finally opening up the pass (for the first time all year). Carr has been gutsy, running it up the middle and taking some shots... but he's also made some poor throws, and been victimized by a couple of huge drops. The blocking has been there today, so far... and it gives some hope that if they can fix that problem, the team has a chance of looking much better next season w/ the rest of the skills players intact.
It is Carr that our O-line looks bad. Yeah, they are not good but not that bad. Carr needs to learn to get rid of the ball quickly...
How many times is Buchanon going to let Reggie Wayne catch the ball right in front of him??? We can only hope that the Texans learn from this game and see what a team that executes its plays is capable of doing.
Here I thought Buchanon was a good defender....from all the articles about him before the season started. But damn, I haven't seen anything good come out of him.
