NFL is going to cover up whatever it can and slap wrists behind the scenes. Look at how they shredded the Pats' spy files and refused to talk about them afterwards. They know it'll only make things worse. Sort of how they want us to pretend that 80% of the league isn't on steroids or HGH. I suspect that Colts were piping in noise. I don't think anyone on this BBS can say what the fact's are. As far as 60k at the stadium keeping quiet....um .... those are Indy fans..... Besides, if you and your section are screaming, it's unlikely you're going to hear that anyway. Evan
SOMEONE would report it...an official...a Pat fan at the game in Indy...a reporter looking for a scoop...an announcer...ANYONE besides a Patriots player... Don't know why some people are spouting conspiracy theories (with 60 thousand plus people in on it) but the simple explanation is most likely the correct one.
conspiracy theorists crack me up. If it was in fact being piped in you better believe they would get caught...especially if that really happened at the stadium. Guess what happens when the crowd is really loud and then they other team makes a big play? IT GETS QUIET UNTIL THE NEXT PLAY
60,000 people don't simultainiously stop cheering within the same millisecond like on that video. Simply impossible. Did you watch the video? I mean, IF that video hasn't been doctored in any way (and maybe it has), I don't see how you can think that's anything but fake crowd noise. I've been to a lot of live sporting events and I can honestly say, I don't know if some of the crowd noise has been piped in or not. Unless the whole place was totally silent EXCEPT for the fake crowd noise, how can anyone tell?
yes. did you watch the video of bigfoot in virginia?! i mean its right there! it has to be true. Hey apollo...wait up {backs away slowly}
Even though I love the Patriots, I think this is more of a technical difficulty than any form of cheating by the Colts. It's argued that after the track stopped skipping, the crowd was insanely quiet. Well, between the time that catch was made and the actual time the end of the skipping stopped, there's enough time for the crowd to go quiet. If anyone's been to a football game, a loud stadium can go dead quiet when a big play happens for the opposition. It happens all the time at Reliant.

A TV broadcast that has microphones to provide sound. Why is it not possible that what CBS said actually happened? That their sound system went berserk and they cut off the mic to the crowd? What's more likely? A technical glitch on the video, or a conspiracy where no one in the stadium noticed this bizarre sound and the rest of the stadium, during a big game, wasn't making noise so when the fake sound went off, the entire stadium was silent?
exactly. case closed, lock the thread. Ah yes, the old "can't prove a negative" citadel of last resort.
