Ultra conservative might be good right here. Indy has no run defense. But buckle up. This ride is about to get bumpy.
So much for conservative, now Carr has to show us what he's made of. Let's see how he bounces back from this.
At least we continued our trend of covering the spread each and every week. This team will be a SOLID playoff contender next year.
I'm not a Texans fan or anything, but they ****ing suck. That 4th quarter collapse was worse than the Rockets.
Is it just me, or did we just really obviously blow that game on purpose? I'm pleased that we lost. Higher draft position and screwing Bud Adams are good things.
Damn it! But that was destiny. Titans must take their demons head on now. The Baltimore Ravens. But this is what happened when they made their superbowl run. They took on their deomns in the Bills and survived by an eyelash.
Granted, they should not have even been in this game with Indy, but how do you basically IGNORE Andre Johnson in the second half? They looked to him for that first drive of the half when they went up 17-3, but then he was an absolute non-factor the rest of the way. They didn't even LOOK his direction. I don't get that.
I gotta believe that with a healthy defense and some more depth, this would've been at least a .500 team, probably better.
Agreed. With a healthy Seth Payne, Gary Walker and Benny Joppru, in addition to hopefully a game-changing safety through the draft and a few linemen via free agency, we're looking good. Very good.
The Texans play in the 4th quarter was simply pathetic. They were playing to win the majority of the game. Than towards the end of 3rd quarter the play calling went to lets play not to lose. That played right into the Colts hands. That should have been called intentional grounding on that last drive by Peyton. They have gotten so many calls go their way this year... In any event. I think this benefits the Titans as we have some demons to kill in Baltimore. Bring on the Ravens.... Bring on the playoffs!!! The Colts better look out because they have the Broncos at home next week (most likely with Clinton Portis). Go Titans!!!!
Jeff, You are absouletly correct. They completely forgot about Andre Johnson in the second half. I thought that 3rd and 4 call which was picked off was also a tough break. The ball was tipped and went to the Colts. I thought Dominic Davis would have made the first down and worst case scenario would have chewed up more clock. Tough loss but the Texans played tough and I give them props!! You guys continue to grow...
Yeah, I've been thinking about that all week as a Titans fan. I think I'd much rather play at Baltimore in the first round than host Denver. The biggest reason is that I don't fear Anthony Wright and those wr's at all, especially since he's lacking in playoff experience. Of course, their defense is fierce. But that's been the case for years. I think the big problem is that if the Titans win, and the Colts hold off the Broncos, the Titans have to go to New England rather than KC in round 2. I don't like that all. However, if Denver can beat Indy in Indy again, and Tennessee wins, the NFL reseeds, so Tenn. would get to travel to KC. Whatever the outcome, I'm really hyped for the playoffs. So much drama with the outcomes today.
I wouldn't say I'm pleased, but I must admit it would have been really crappy to basically hand the tennesse tittie-boys the division title with a ribbon on top. We did them enough favors last week. Now we get to hopefully watch Ray Lewis make Eddie George his b**** next week.
Even though I was disappointed by the outcome of the game, I'll feel much better when Peyton makes his annual playoff choke next week.
Gary Walker won't be back next year, most likely. Anyone who ever hopes their team loses isn't a real fan, plain and simple.
Please. I'm pleased they lost so they can get a better draft choice next year to improve the team. What's next, are you going to tell me that to be a real college sports fan you have to attend college there? pfft...
Whatever helps you sleep at night. That #10 pick's gonna make a ton of difference over that #14 pick. I'd love for you to venture into the Texans' locker room and tell them that you're a fan who wanted them to lose.
I don't care about the draft order as much as I do about sticking it to Bud. I would never pull for the Texans to lose in any situation and yesterday was no different. I'm just saying that I'm not exactly devestated after the fact...like I was (and still am) about the loss to the titans. A win over the Colts would have been sweet, but it also would have gift wrapped the division title to Bud. It's all about the silver lining.
