He won't put him in this season, he's already said that. Watching him play against OK State, he played solid... he was the best player on the Longhorns on both sides. He also gives the Horns the best chance to win... I suggested we play Case early on in the season when Gilbert was struggling to see if we could rotate QB's from time to time for some games. I don't see a point of doing so now when he hasn't played at all and the Horns are still fighting for a bowl game.
This criticism drives me crazy. I can't blame you for thinking this, as he did suffer two pretty highly publicized injuries in big games. However, if you watched Colt like I did for the last 4 years, you would know that he is one tough S.O.B. He routinely got pummeled in his four years on campus due to our pathetic O-Line, and his own scrambling ability. Colt took so many hits his first three years that he had to be instructed to slide during his scrambles as a senior. (Seriously, if you go watch videos from his first three years, he never slides. Ever. Always takes the hit. Then last year he slid to avoid almost every tackle he could.) And Cleveland fans are already raving about his toughness. He took a couple of big shots from the Jets yesterday, but popped right back up and the crowd went nuts. He was manhandled vs. Pittsburgh in his first game, and still put up good numbers. Again, this comes from being a student at UT for the four years Colt was a starter and watching every single game he played in. I don't blame you for thinking he's soft, but I can promise you it isn't true. (Oh, and props on admitting Colt has done better than you expected. I know many on this site who would never do that.)
Colt started every game for 4 full seasons, and happened to get hurt in his last game. I cannot see how you haters consider that soft. If any of you have ever had a dead arm, it's impossible to play quarterback, Colt could not have just toughed it out as some of you punks suggested he should.
"We've always believed in him. Every week he goes out there, personally he impresses me more and more. He's just got it. It's one of those things where he's not tall, he can't throw real hard, he can't do this, but he's a winner. You want like guys like that. He's a natural leader and it's infectious. I just love watching him. I love being around him. I think he's a great quarterback." Eric Barton, Browns linebacker "Quote me on this: They have a quarterback now. I'm glad I'm not in the AFC North anymore so I don't have to see him get better. They've had problems for a long time. They now have a legit quarterback." Trevor Pryce, Jets linebacker Suck it, moe.
I was going to post that article.....players are gushing over the guy and what he brings to the huddle. LOL - really, this is from you.....roflmao ! DD
Considering your posts in just about every single thread that even remotely partially tangentially concerns the University of Texas, this is comical. I'm laughing so hard I'm pissing rainbows and unicorns.
Yes, really. Did you see me get all huffy when people took to calling Kevin Kolb "Karl Kold"? Nope. Lighten up.
If you're laughing your ass off, it might take a while, so try to pace yourself. Anyway, this coming from the biggest drama queen/woe-is-me poster on the BBS, so I'll take it with about a dumptruck worth of salt.
Back around pre-2006, I was an anti-UT troll for sure. But, of course, that was pretty much directly related to lashing back out at obnoxious VY trolls. So if you can find some petty/butt-hurt posts from me regarding UT in the last 2-3 years or so, be my guest to post them, because I really haven't bothered with that pissing contest.
Why so sensitive Donny? Do you need a hug? And weren't you the one who said Butt hurt...yes..yes you were.....so, playing upon what you said......... DD
