I am sorry but I have never heard of mar1juana causing someone to go crazy. Now, falling asleep or eating a lot while starring out in space maybe, but I don't believe it was just mar1juana that did this.
The edibles they make are very potent. You do not want to eat the whole cookie. That's a big mistake. Apparently, it was a noob who had no clue and just ate the whole cookie at once. At most, you would want to eat a half and probably more like a quarter of one for someone who is considered a "lightweight".
I'm not aware of the labels or how they advertise the potency... This could be a rookie mistake. While I haven't hallucinated or "tripped out" to the effect of hurting myself or others, I can say that there has been a couple of times where I've certainly felt scared or extremely paranoid. This makes up about 1% of my experiences though.
Being paranoid is one thing, but having the urge to start destroying a hotel room and jump off of the balcony is a lot more than just being scared or paranoid. I don't see how this could happen without some other type of drug being involved.
