That put a smile on my face. :)

Let's look at our trade assets:
Taylor- HUGE contract, teams don't want that.

Spoon- expiring contract next season, almost worth nothing.
    Howard- big, long contract, iffy.

TE- probably our biggest asset right now, 5.8M TE right?

1st round picks- I hope we don't have to use another, but if we do, it better be a damn good deal.

They are confident that attempts are being made, but I doubt they have any inside info.

If the Sixers can unload that garbage for CWebb without even having to give up a young prospect, I'm feeling better about our chances of dumping Mo.

    No, they didn't.

from ESPN: What is surprising, however, is what the Kings will get from the 76ers in return. None of the three players the Kings receive are as talented as Webber. Each has been struggling this year and all three have long-term contracts equal to the three years, $62 million left on Webber's deal. In other words, this isn't a salary dump by the Kings.

Thomas has five years and $39 million left on his deal, plus a 15 percent trade kicker that will raise his salary higher. Williams has two years and $12.5 million left on his deal. Skinner has one year and $4.9 million left on his contract plus another year at $5.4 million that is 75 percent guaranteed.

i meant with the salary considerations for a trade. i dont think we have anything they would be looking for. the only salary that comes close to bibby is MoT. he has a shorter contract but still nothing expiring soon. even though they would never take this the only thing i see is MoT and ward for bibby since ward has the team option. they would save a couple million there. i really dunno how it all works.

The point in that case though would be that Dale Davis expires at the end of the year, while Spoon (2006) and Mo Taylor (2007) do not.

Here is what I fear, our front-office will just panic and make a Webber kind of trade...

Something like our first round picks for 05 and 07 + Spoon for Payton. That would really really kill us...

I agree, DeAleck. Sura's not out for the season right? I'm not ready to give up a first-rounder so we can be marginally more competitive for two weeks.

That would suck. only player or a few players that i would give the 1'st pick would be Davis. lets entice thm with howard, First rounder and a scrub!. firstronder for payton?. yuckkkkkkkkkk

The worst part about this is that Payton is at freedom to walk this summer, just like he did to Milwaukee. Milwaukee lost Ray Allen for nothing. We can't make a Milwaukee-type of mistake!

The nuggets are trying to conjure up a deal for allen. logicly, miller would have have to be involved in any deal.

Yes, if we throw in Yao or TMac or 2 future first rounders, Denver would jump at it...

Barry for TE. He'd fit after Sura returns.
