A little "penis envy" here, a little "couldn't get in?" there...yeah...real classy comments from the "gr8-1."

Agreed. But why do other people do the Horns down? Maybe not in Rice's case, but alot of people do it even when they're not playing Texas.

Rice fans weren't so emotional/demonstrative when they beat SMS.

Congrats to the Horns for beating my Canes twice. Good luck the rest of the way.

Hopefully anybody but Townsend. But, I've heard we probably want no part of Neimann either.

I personally like Niemann better than Townsend. THe thing is that UT might be "familiar" with Townsend if they faced him a 3rd time.

I bet Rice brings out Humber for the first game. If UT wins, then I bet Niemann faces UT in the 2nd game. I have no idea who UT would send out for the 2nd game.

Graham said Rice is going with Humber during the broadcast. I don't know who the Horns will call on. Tough call, pitch Howell tomorrow or put him up against Niemann Thursday. Of course without Howell there may not be a game Thursday.

DOn't know, but UT better bring it's A game tomorrow. You just never know.

I would guess Simmons for game two, but on a short leash. Maybe freshman j Brent Cox.

Lecure was money tonight, as he was against ATM. I think Simmons is still living on last year's rep.

Nice luxury to have. If Humber falters, bring in Neimann and you still have Townsend for the next day. I think they get Friday off anyway, win or lose.

Is Danny Muegge available? Looking at the stats, he's made 15 starts this year...3rd on the team behind Simmons and Howell.

If I'm UT, I start Howell even if it can only be for 5-6 innings. Tommorow is or die for UT.

It has to be Howell. Otherwise, I lose my bet. :D

It may be Cox. If it's Muegge, we''re screwed.

If I were UT I'd throw Street as many innings as I could. I know he went 2 1/3 last night, but the bullpen group from which they will pick a starter was hardly impressive on Monday night. Maybe even start Street.

I was also going to mention starting Street, but he's the only closer and decent 3rd baseman we have.

edit - got wrong info, still undecided.

Howell's pitching...strikes out the side to start the game.

Here's something I meant to ask after the other night...does the Rice catcher really feel it necessary to appeal after every pitch?

One of the most bizzare games I've seen in a long time pitching-wise.
