When I first started college, Taco Bell had those 59 cent taco nights. Those were the days.

59 cent nights? When I was in college they were 59 cents all the time, but they'd do a 39 cent taco on Sunday.

I still recall seeing the burrito supreme on a commercial back in 93 for 99 cents, so I went to taco bell and ordered it. It was the only Taco Bell in Lubbock and they weren't honoring it. I got livid at the drive thru girl and the manager came out to yell at me. I got out of my car, called his ass a liar and threw him to the ground with all of the employees calling me an a-hole as I left.

    Good times... :)

Good timing. I'm in grad school full-time. Just got back from the gym and threw down a tuna sandwich. Some of my other concoctions:

Chicken Breast flavored with lemon pepper, and grilled in white wine
    Kraft Mac and Cheese shells
    Oscar Mayer light beef franks
Carl Buddig Beef -> great for sandwiches
    Prego with Barilla pasta boxes

I usually don't cook and eat at the nearby places:

    Freebird's
    Thundercloud Subs
    Zen
    Homeslice
    Subway
    Whataburger

Curious, how do you grill in white wine?

I believe he uses it as an oil as part of the cooking. I've heard of people using beer as well for other meats.

Agreed, but pouring wine over a grill is a waste of good alcohol.

Not sure if the $5.99 bottle of Yellowtail qualifies "good" alcohol. :)

Speaking of which I sometimes use Shiner as a steak marinade. Works out pretty well.

Chuckwagon Delight... no joke, that's what they called it in my college's cafeteria.

And then once married, PB & J.

    The PB & J was better. ;)

Fair. But try marinating it in your fridge overnight and then grilling, rather than pouring it over the coals.

I have a meal plan, and I usually get a sandwich, salad, and fruit. Sometimes they have grilled or sauteed vegetables, but I try to stay away from them when they're drenched in butter. The veggie pizza is really good as well. I'd probably get a grilled chicken sandwich every time if it didn't take so damn long to make.

Have you ever heard of a wish sandwich? A wish sandwich is the kind of a sandwich where you have two slices of bread, and you.........wish you had some meat! BOW BOW BOW...

A coffee in the morning for breakfast, 99cent bag of chips and a 20oz coke lunch, and sometimes I'd go get some fast food with my meal plan for dinner, though most of the time, I was at lacrosse practice and didn't have time to eat in the evenings.

When I was in college Taco Bell tacos, burritos and tostadas were all .59. That's pretty much what I ate...when I wasn't trippin' too hard.

    you got the grilling down.

try baking. you can make a top of dishes with baking chicken, pork and fish (different crustings, flavors, etc).

for cheap quick meals, lipton rice [IMG]
and some of that canned chicken. fyi, its also a great meal for camping out/hiking and its light weight with minimal cleanup
