AP irrelevant. I don't know why they haven't taken that stupid poll outta here... but nonetheless, I'm really happy for the Coogs... that UTEP game, if they had won, would have them around 7 right now IMO.
How funny would it be if the Big XII north winner somehow pulled the upset in the championship game? (Don't kill me Texas fans!) I just think it would be hilarious to see a 5 or 6 loss team in the Fiesta Bowl. I'm also waiting to see a multi-way tie for 1st in the North a la early 90's SWC.
Ya that seems like a fair spot.. Its okay. I just hope they build on this year and have a stronger season next year. I dont know when the decide the non-conference schedule but i think we should be able to get some more quality teams next year as well...
if anything it will be harder to schedule the top teams because they don't want to take the risk of losing to you in non conference
The following link will detail some of the non-conference games we have scheduled for the next few years. http://www.nationalchamps.net/NCAA/future_schedules/houston_future.htm
Houston has an away-home away with UCLA the next three years. They have a return game at home with MISS St. UH has three games vs BCS teams. They are at UCLA, at Texas Tech, and Mississippi state in 2010.
Thanks man I didnt know about this. UCLA seems interesting. They havent been good this year or really since 2005 for that matter but hope to see a good game vs them..
Shockingly UH is a pretty young team. They will no doubt be favored to win CUSA next year and be picked as an early BCS buster. In any case, it is good to be talked about.
It is what it is. But I think it's utter BS. There's this little thing called strength of schedule. We've beaten teams ranked 18th, 6th and blew away 4th ranked USC. All this while Boise State struggles to beat teams like Tulsa and California (Davis)? You ****ing kidding me I didn't even know California (Davis) had a football team. They haven't played a ranked team since their victory in week 1 and they won't the rest of the year.
I hear you, but you're not going to win this kind of an argument when your teams have already played each other. Unless you ask the BCS computers (i.e. Oklahoma/Texas last year), then maybe they'll tell you what you want to hear
Interestingly, there's a pretty decent chance that a 6-6 K-State wins the Big 12 North, loses in the B12 Championship game, and ends up not eligible for a bowl game.
Doubt it. They're a lock to lose to OU, and having watched both a lot, I think they lose at Kansas... that puts them at four losses. Winner of Mizzou @ KSU likely goes 5-3 and wins the North... then promptly gets annihilated.
hahaha its not my fault USC decided to lay an egg for the first time in 7 years and for OSU not even show up to play at home.
