Those last 2 catches were crazy. I expected Iowa State to get tight on offense. Instead, they are making plays. Major props to them.

DD, Mack isn't going anywhere. Chill out.

 Mack's not going anywhere unless he decides to retire - and I can't imagine him doing it on a down note. I do think, if the team loses 4 or 5 games, it will finally be the end of Greg Davis.

DJ Monroe has apparently been lighting it up during practice too. I have no clue why he doesn't get touches. I remember last year when he played, he gave us long bursts.

Ah, what else can go wrong. Another INT.

I was about to post the refs missed an obvious holding call on the pass play, but good for Iowa State since they get the interception next play. Just wow.

Gilbert has 4 TD passes on the entire season? Yikes, that's just terrible. Just by luck, you'd think you'd end up with more than that.

Need 2 td's and a 2 pt conversion... sounds bleak.

It's very obvious to me he has to be replaced next year. Don't you agree? I'd like all the UT partisans to comment. This won't solve all your problems but he's gotta go.

With young QBs, either they perform well or at least their potential is on display. Gilbert doesn't have much upside IMO.

I think if he continues to play like this, then surely yes, I would like to see him get replaced. Like I said, not everything out there is Greg Davis' fault. I honestly think they should give Case McCoy a chance before the season ends just to see what he has to offer.

If the Iowa St. sources I got this info from are correct, ISU has never beaten UT and not beaten a raked opponent since 1990.

What a two-play sequence.... pick right in the lap of UT, and Gilbert gets demolished and loses the ball in the process.

I believe UT is 7-0 vs Iowa St. Not sure about the ranked opponent stat, but I'm sure it's true also.

    Alamo Bowl for Texas.

This team deserves to be booed.... and I don't know why the Texas fans are holding back. They should be doing the same thing those Florida fans were doing last week... it seems like they've just given up.

Honestly, I have no idea. On one hand, it certainly doesn't look good for Gilbert. He's shown very little, if anything. On the other hand, I don't know if my expectations are out of whack - having Vince and Colt, two of the best QBs in football history, may have just skewed expectations for sophomore first-year starter. Even with that, though, you at least expect improvement and it seems like he's just getting worse.

At the very least, I would like to see Case McCoy given some opportunities in real game situations this year - that would give us some good apples-to-apples comparisons and, if Case is the next QB, give him some experience this year. If there was ever a good time for rotating QBs, this is it. The season is shot anyway. No B12 Title, no BCS bowl. Like the Astros, this is the time to experiment and see what kind of talent you have throughout the team.

I wonder if any of the offensive unit believes in Gilbert. Gilbert can't do ****. He was prematurely crowned the savior of this program at the end of last season...
