this kid Newton is the real deal. Closest thing I've seen to Vince Young during his last year at UT.

He's like a sturdier, (very) slightly less elusive version of VY.

just the way he was making people miss using the stop juke and cutting up the field and then the acceleration to get into the endzone there at the end - amazing stuff. Definitely my number 1 in the heisman right now.

    This is funny...

@PeterBurnsRadio: Sasha Grey is impressed with what Verne Lundquist to doing to Cam Newton today. #Auburn #LSU

Cam is fantastic, if he can make it out of the SEC with no loses or 1 tops, I don't see anyone else getting the Heisman over him.

Vince was the first player to do 3000/1000 in the history of ncaa. He also led the nation in passer rating, and beat the "greatest College football team ever."

If we are speaking in terms seasons, I doubt there are too many players that are going to be able to ever really say they had a better season then Vince had his last year at UT. He's already a better player then Vince though. He's got a pro arm, better accuracy and is extremely elusive (not on Vince's level but close enough).

I think people are misunderstanding what I'm saying. I'm not implying Newton can or even will turn in a season like Vince did his senior year. I'm saying he's a better player then Vince is. He's a better player then Tebow too but he's likely not going to turn in a season like that either

I'm far from ready to take Cam Newton this year over Vince's last season at UT. He's not close to that level as a player.

I'm not talking about NFL ability. The NFL Vince Young is a completely different subject.

great play call by Les Miles. Looks like another exciting finish per usual in these big time SEC matchups

Then you would be agreeing with what i said. Newton is not going to duplicate what Vince did his last year at UT. Few are going to.

And that's what I'm talking about so it's a moot point. I'm speaking on who I think is the better player period. I'm not talking about him putting up a season like Vince did his senior year. That's why I said Newton won't put up a Tebow season either. I would happily take Cam Newton as a rookie next season on my team if I was an NFL franchise then Vince where he's at right now in his career. I'd take Josh Freeman too for that matter.

It's not going to diminish what vince did his senior season. Like I said, I highly doubt there's going to be very many players who are going to match that season. I'm strictly talking about who is the better player and I don't think there's any question Newton is

If LSU wins, maybe god or the devil wants them to win and no point of doubting him.

Nick Farley would look good at DT next season for the Texans.

Fairley is likely a top 10 pick I would think but I'd kill for him on the Texans
