Another week of CFBBB, got some good match ups this week. LSU is apparently no.1 in the computer rankings and the BCS rankings come out this Sunday so it will be interesting to see some of these games this week. Notable Games: South Florida-West Virginia- ESPN 6:30 PM CST (THURS) Kansas St.-Kansas- 6:30 PM CST (THURS) Boston College-Florida St.- ESPN 11 AM CST Missouri-Texas A&M- 11 AM CST Minnesota-Purdue- ESPN2 11 AM CST Western Michigan-Notre Dame- NBC 1:30 PM CST Texas-Nebraska- ABC/ESPN 2:30 PM CST Arkansas-Auburn- CBS 2:30 PM CST Iowa-Michigan- ABC/ESPN 2:30 PM CST Oklahoma St.-Texas Tech - 2:30 PM CST Cal-USC- 2:30 PM CST UH-Rice- 2:30 PM CST Wake Forest-Virginia Tech- ESPNU 2:30 PM CST SMU-Navy- 2:30 PM CST BYU-TCU- Versus 3 PM CST South Carolina-Kentucky- ESPN2 5 PM CST Ohio St.-Wisconsin- ESPN 6 PM CST Iowa St.-Oklahoma - 6 PM CST Baylor-Colorado- 6 PM CST Arizona-Washington St.- Versus 6:30 PM CST Ole Miss-Alabama- ESPN2 8 PM CST Oregon St.-Washington- ESPN 9:15 PM CST Hope Nebraska doesnt thrash Texas too hard, they're going to be amped up. Got a good game in Arkansas and Auburn, Mallett vs. Newton, two heisman candidates. The big game... the new no.1 Ohio St. against Wisconsin in Wisconsin, should be a great game, primetime. Bama fell off the spotlight a little bit but it'll be interesting to watch them to see how they rebound from a loss for the first time. Great week of CFB.
Apparently the projections are that Boise would be #1 in the BCS if the standings came out this week. Everyone will freak out if that happens next week, but no one will realize it's because Boise's had the hard part of its schedule already while all the BCS conference teams haven't. Ohio State is supposedly way down there (ranked around 15 in the computers) because of a terrible schedule so far.
They beat a #12 ranked Miami. Though I honestly just want to win the Big Ten. Some analysts are saying Michigan State could be in the National Title game.
Yeah, but it turns out Miami is not all that great. According to Sagarin, Ohio State has the #117th most difficult schedule so far and ranks them 23rd in their BCS rankings. That will change over time, but it's going to cause people to freak out next week, which will be amusing.
Their schedule eventually will be weak, but they are frontloaded, so they are pretty good so far. For example, they both include Oregon State, who's ranked very highly with a win over Arizona and only with losses to a pair of top 5 teams.
This is going to be one hard fought battle. Wisconsin always plays really strong football, and Ohio State is definitely an underdog in this game.
