You can't go low on a defender who is already engaged. If that play was legal, there would be 5 career ending injuries per game.
He was not engaged Moes.....rewind the DVR. I have it frozen on my DVR now, he circled around, was not engaged and the Texas lineman went low....perfectly LEGAL play. DD
UT's o-line doing everything in it's power to throw this game. we get great field position and you chop block on the very first play for no reason? how many penalties do these guys have and how many drives have they killed. we're going to lose this game, no one gets away with this many mistakes and doesn't pay in the most painful way possible.
You have to be stingy about those kind of things, you can't have these kids tearing ACLs and getting their knees shredded out there.
I am a homer, but also hate refs who insert themselves into games and make bad calls. That was a terrible 15 yard call....20+ if you take away the gain..... It could be a game changer. DD
Agreed, but he was not engaged....it was perfectly legal. What about a ref making the RIGHT call ? DD
