I'm sorry, both last week and today were pure luck. Last week they won in spite of themselves and got an extra untimed down. This week, another gigantic blunder with 30 seconds left in the game by the opposing coach kept them alive. If you don't define both plays as pure luck, fine. That's what it was. In both instances LSU drove the ball down the field and they deserve credit for that. But in neither case should they have won. Urban Meyer will be flogging himself for blowing this game. Just amazing.
Over the years, I've normally been very pro Ohio State and pro Big Ten. But I can't stand the thought of them in the BCS championship game this time. Maybe next week Wisconsin will do everyone a favor and take them down. If not, hopefully Iowa next month.
Iowa or Wisconsin will be the teams to beat Ohio State. If they can get through both games, they should be playing in the national championship and they'll likely win. Alabama would have been the team to beat, but as of now they dropped the ball and it's in Oregon and Boise St's hands. I imagine Oregon will lose one, and it'll be Ohio State Boise St in the NC Game.
Yeah I don't know what it is, but I just really don't like Ohio State. I think it was them being in contention for several years in a row and I just always found their brand of football really boring. I really hope they lose a game because I wouldn't find any match up involving them in the championship intriguing in the slightest.
I am seeing an Ohio St/Oregon rematch but this time for the title. With Oregon coming out on top this time.
Nothing personal, but this post gets a huge **** you. Denard threw 3 horrible picks, we beat oursleves, and now that we have a loss we will make our season making sure you homos don't see the National Championship. Michigan ends BSU's title hopes and we finish the season with a smile
I'm rooting for Oregon now. I think Denard lost the Heisman today so I'd like to see James get it and follow with a National Title. Only other team I'd be happy with is Nebraska winning it since they come to our conference next year and we are going to be at least on par with the SEC
Nebraska has a fair chance at running the table. I'd actually pick Oregon/Nebraska now as best BCS teams to run the table. Even more so than Ohio State i just dont think theyre that good. Robinson still has a great chance at the heisman. 2-3 losses wont be so bad if he put up insane #'s. But cmon the Big 10 with nebraska still isnt even close to the SEC.
The Big 10 without Nebraska is better than the SEC this year. Florida's offense is wretched, LSU's offense is lacking, and with Alabama loosing it is Auburn being the top team in the SEC. I am confident that even Michigan could beat Florida and probably LSU. And King1, no one gives a damn about the whole state of Michigan. If you want to win big games, develop an offense that has more than one option. Ohio State has one the best offenses that it has ever had. This is the offense that led to a 26-17 Rose Bowl victory against the Ducks. The Ducks would likely lose again if they were to meet again for a bowl game. I still believe that Alabama is the only team that could beat Ohio State.
That makes the assumption that LSU couldn't have kicked the FG (the kicker has done so before) or that they couldn't have converted on 4th and 3 despite driving down the field the rest of that drive. The only reason they ran the fake is that they knew it would work - that's good coaching, as much as I think Les Miles is nuts at times. And the rest of the game, they outplayed and outgained Florida. There's simply no way to chalk up their win to luck. They saw an opportunity and took advantage of it. Every game involves dozens of "luck" plays if you define seeing a defensive mistake and exploiting it as luck. OU and UCLA beat Texas by luck if every bad coaching decision is defined as the other team getting lucky.
I felt the same way watching that game. LSU was the better team. Florida has fallen off, and it will take a few years for the program to get back on its feet.
Nebraska has a great shot and I agree with Oregon/Nebraska being a good possibility. Denard doesn't have a chance and you would be hard pressed to find a bigger Mighigan supporter then me. We would need to win out with huge numbers to get the votes (especially for him being a Sophomore). That's James, Luck or Pryor (cringes) award to lose now. Actually, we are. It's going to be very close especially with all the strong recruiting classes.
