I thought the announcers really overexaggerrated the jersey tug's impact on that play. The CB definitely bit on the fake run - that was the reason he got burned so badly - not because of the jersey tug
Oh come on man. Clearly he grabbed it and you see his head whip around. I think it was incidental, but it's an automatic 15 yd no matter what.
Um, the Florida WR got the separation the second the jersey tug occurred. The playaction fake was already long past. The DB stayed with him, until he was pulled to a stop... then, presto! Wonder how that worked...
I don't deny that he got the facemask, but I like officials to be loose in big games on calls that have nothing to do with the play's result. If nothing else, letting it go would've evened things out for the blatant late hit the officials didn't call on Florida in the final minute of the first half.
