Best they've been since 1985. It doesn't matter how you get there, all that matters in the end is the score.
OU has a chance, but I still like Texas. OU has piled on points against the lesser teams with no pass rush, but OU has struggled against teams that can rush the passer. I think Kindle and crew will cause havoc on their inexperience line.
I doubt they lose all 3. In fact, IMO, it's more likely they win all 3 remaining road games than lose them all. Terrelle Pryor is not very good and it wouldn't shock me if they beat the Buckeyes in the Horseshoe. I don't think Iowa will run the table, but they'll beat either MSU or Wisconsin. I was rooting for Michigan to pull it out today. Oh well.
LOL @The Cat and the good ol' UT fanboys trashing Florida, the best team in college football. they have the BEST QB in the nation they have a good passing game they have a good running game they have a good D-line they have a good secondary they're a great all-around team, no one can beat them right now. They're going to win the national championship in a blow out, and Tim will get the Heisman award (barely beating out Case Kenum and Jarrod Johnson ) 'Bam- UT for the title game, huh? . Unless Mack Brown pulls a running game out of his a$$ (or recruits it from the state penitentiary for that matter), they're not gonna make any noise especially against great defenses who can shutdown their passing game and put pressure on McCoy.
Yes they could but Bradford got a little banged up this week. OU's defense will keep them in the game but I see UT pulling it out. Texas has more firepower on the offensive side. They score in bunches.
*******.. all the Longhorn haters all came out tonight in this thread. I guess the Longhorns will have to prove it to you mother ****ers again next week. Then what? What's next after the OU game?
More Vinsanity posts that will continue to make my eyes bleed. Trollish and just a bad overall internet gangster. So sad.
Every week when this thread gets posted, there are always those posters that make these bold proclamations as if they're some sort of authority or someone pays them for their opinions. It's really funny to see.
We are all College Football experts . The way we express our opinions is the same as those commentators on ESPN, it's just that they get paid to do it. Anyways here's my opinion. Florida and Texas have not looked dominating, but they are two of the three best teams right now. LSU didn't deserve the number 4 ranking, and tonight it showed. Could Texas lose to OU next week? Certainly. I would be very disappointed if we lose, but I wouldn't be surprised. I'm treating OU as the preseason #5 team as they are very talented and always dangerous, and not the #19 team they are ranked right now. I'm hopping off the Auburn bandwagon. Ole Miss needs to get out and stay out of top 25.
Terrible game today by the Horned Frogs, althought they pulled out the win they were turnover prone. BUT....I'm letting it slide and blaming the Cold weather they were playing in. 19 degrees!
I'm not sure beating a TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE Colorado team proved anything. In fact, they looked not so good last night. Their offense did very little. They were losing the game until the blocked punt return, int return, and punt return.
Quarterback contreversy in Lubbock? Sheffield looked awesome but Potts leg the nation in throwing yards prior to injury. I like Sheffield's mobililty and leadership over Pott's size.
All of those things limited the offense's chances to get on the field. The running game has got to improve, though. What's odd, the 2 guys who were probably running the ball best overall on the season, Newton and Monroe, didn't get into the game. We also didn't see Monroe in the return game. That's no excuse for the running numbers UT put up, but there are more weapons in the UT arsenal. UT looked poor early, but at the end of the day, they put up 35 unanswered.
Why does it matter if Texas is 2 or 3? Alabama and Florida are going to play each other in the SEC title game regardless (unless one of them takes themselves out before then) so it seems a completely pointless debate. And LOL @PointForward thinking that it's because I like UT. I have no problem admitting that both Alabama and Florida would beat UT by double-digits right now. I just don't see the creativity in Florida's offense, the overall offensive line strength, or the passing from Tebow in third-and-long situations (which will come up against an opponent like Alabama) to make me like them against a truly great team (no, last year's OU was nowhere close - 45-35). I don't think Texas is that team, at least right now. I think Alabama is. Also, if last night's version of UT comes to Columbia in two weeks, we can give them a game. Just sayin'...
The Kiss of Death. Alabama has a good chance of knocking Florida off in the SEC championship game. Don't take that for granted as a win. I think UF will have even more trouble with 'Bama than UT has with OU.
