haha touche. I think we're going to shut up Arkansas and all their fans after this week. Mallet will be running for his life from Marcell and will make some costly decisions resulting in turnovers. Meantime Alabama will dominate the running game with the two best running backs in the NCAA pounding away at Arkansas suspect defense. Bama wins 34-13
Andrew Luck. He's the prototypical NFL QB that can stand in the pocket and pass with dead on accuracy. I knew he was going to be special ever since last year when he led his team over USC and dismantled my Ducks. Good size, good arm strength and did I mention the accuracy? Andrew Luck is the true reason why stud or supposed stud rookie QB's in the NFL get paid the big bucks. It's because they're supposed to change the complexion of a team and captain thea team to many Super Bowl rings etc. I think Luck can do that. He's the real deal. Locker has been a major dissapointment in my eyes. He's been hyped up ever since he was a freshman. He's never really led his team and he's not noticably improved anything in his game that warrants him being a top QB prospect. His decision making skills are questionable to non-existent and his accuracy is shaky. Is he an athlete? Yes. Should he be a top 10 pick? I don't think so. Mallet... I don't watch enough Arkansas football to have a real opionion but I'll go out on a limb and say Luck has the better NFL career.
I'm totally biased, but I agree. I think Mallett has a sensational arm and will be a gunslinger. But I think Andrew Luck has everything you want in a QB. My guess is he'll be the #1 overall pick this season...or at least the first QB taken.
Well, I can honestly say I'm not surprised tonight's Pitt/Miami game didn't generate much discussion. I was there and let me tell you, you weren't missing much!
I tuned back and forth from that and some of my shows that I was watching last night. Saw Harris throw a pick.. but it was pretty much a blow out. Looking forward to the in-state game today though.. TCU-SMU. Horned Frogs should have this but it's nice to have some football early in the night.
I'm really in shock right now that SMU is this close... Idk if it's TCU playin this bad or SMU playin this good... but Dalton just threw an interception and now SMU has the lead.
Inevitably, SMU ran out of gas (and luck). If TCU runs the ball the rest of the game, they will never punt.
Was nothing more than a little speed bump. TCU had this one in the bag 5 min into the 3rd quarter... Still, score should never had been that close. But, SMU and TCU with their history....
I still believe TCU will lose one of their remaining games on their schedule. I just have a feeling it would be either BYU, Utah, or Air Force.
Herbstreit just said that whoever wins that game in Nebraska in 2 weeks will be going to the national championship game (assuming they go unbeaten). I can't see it though if OSU and Bama go undefeated.
At this rate, the BGSU defense is going to need oxygen by the end of the 1st quarter. Denard Robinson is incredible. That last TD run was off the charts.
Not a chance. Not in Ft. Worth. Utah in Utah will be a challenge, though. If we get through that, we run the table and hopefully play in a BCS game against a team from a "real" conference.
Did he get hurt? I'm looking at the boxscore, and another QB has been in for the last few possessions?
Yes, his knee. Doesn't look really serious but he was in severe pain for a while. He sat out a couple of possessions and now it's 21-14. Now Tate Forcier (who is now 3rd string) is playing for the first time this season. At this point, I would bet Robinson comes back in the 2nd half. Michigan's defense is soooo bad they can't afford to sit him.
