hahaha. Way to go UCLA! Nice couple of weeks for UCLA. Crazy. Bruins beat UT last time they played in Austin too IIRC....like 15yrs ago or something.

It IS a surprise. Not many people "sensed" that coming. UCLA has an experienced offensive line. After that, all their other skill positions players are young. I guess it shows what an experienced line can do to stabilize things in college, cuz UT was the #1 run defense in the nation going into the game.
Prediction: next week UT will still be in the top 25 and UCLA won't. At 5-5 UT will still be in the top 25, they rarely drop out no matter what they do. Explain and discuss.
Looking at the rankings, I can't put UT at a rank higher than 18 for next week. I understand that Texas might not be your favorite team, but have you thought that 9 straight years with 10+ wins had anything to do with us not dropping out of top 25? Just saying...
You think Texas should fall that low to be out of the top 25 after just this one horrible loss? Dropping from 7 all the way out of the rankings is as asking for a bit much. Now, UCLA getting into the top 25 is a different story, not sure if they will just because of those two losses early in the year. They should get some recognition for these last two wins... but I don't think they'll get in to the top 25 with just this win, at least not through the coaches. I'm going to be optimistic about next week though.
OU is doing their best to match UT in making the RRS next week totally irrelevant. Man, the Big XII sucks hard.
I don't believe that to be true just because Texas played sloppy today. It was a bad game played by Texas for all of the first half... then they just essentially gave up in the 2nd half. It was a piss poor effort. I give credit to UCLA's defense, but not enough to say they shut down Texas' offense (whatever of it that did work in the 3 previous weeks). I expect Texas to play with a little more dignity next week.
