Maryland West Virginia (on Big10 Network) has been an incredible game to watch so far. Big plays all day.
Marcus Mariota has gone to the next level. His decision to return for one more year was the right one. His major weaknesses were poor pocket presence and choking under pressure. He's an A+ in both categories so far this year. I was skeptical about his NFL prospects but no more. The only thing I question now is his leadership ability.
I'm bummed that I forgot to flip back to this one. I watched it up until halftime, but flipped away to watch VT/ECU, among a few other games. I ended up getting wrapped up in that game and forgot about MD/WVU until I saw the highlight of the game-winning field goal. That's a big win for WVU. More so than just about any team in the nation, they could end up 4-8 or 8-4 this season based on a bunch of swing games, including the one they pulled out today.
That was big for Maryland too. While the Big10 seems to be weak, they'll still be underdogs for most of conference play. That win would have been huge. Good game...lots of opportunities on both sides.
Pin the tail on the Georgia QB. The first down intentional grounding was one of the dumbest decisions I've seen in my life. What is the world was he thinking? Then the missed FG.
The slate of games for today was terrible, and there has been a lot of ugly football, but we've got some close games going on now. UT/UCLA has been a slopfest, but it's tied at 10. Boston College is leading USC 27-17 late in the third. Florida is leading Kentucky by just three, 20-17 in the third.
More surprising than the scoreline in the BC/USC game is that BC is really just pushing USC around. It still feels like USC is going to make a late push here, but it's tough when BC keeps melting the clock and moving the ball on the ground.
Holy cow Kentucky just pulled a rabbit out of their hat in OT. Crazy play to score that touchdown....ran 50 yards to score a 25-yard touchdown.
An absolute travesty of justice that dumbass Florida is going to win. The play clock CLEARLY hit zero and the refs still allowed the play and of course it was a TD. Only against some loser team like Kentucky does that happen. Nonetheless, the Gators are a gigantic joke.
And speaking of jokes...what the f!ck was Mark Richt and Mike Bobo thinking when they had it 1st and goal at the 4 and they don't even try to give the ball to Todd Gurley. Granted, the intentional grounding call was questionable but the refs probably thought like everyone else which was why didn't Gurley get the ball? F!ck Spurrier and f!ck Florida...
The Florida win bummed me out, but if I were a Gator fan, that win would not give me warm fuzzies. I'm not 100% sure that team is any better than they were last year.
