don't look now but Rice is making a game of it in Stillwater. OSU up 28-17 in the 3rd. 7 of OSU's points came on a Rice FG where Rice fumbled the hold and OSU ran it back....a ten point swing in the game

Arkansas v. Georgia on ESPN right now, Ryan Mallett looks awesome. 6-7, rocket arm. Should be the next great NFL quarterback :)

I realize that Ok State beat us, but cowboy fans can't be happy with what they saw tonight.

When Rich Rodriguez got to Michigan, didn't he just tell Mallett to leave and go somewhere else? I think it was because he didn't fit Rodriguez' offensive scheme which calls for a mobile QB.

Both Utah and BYU go down. Hope TCU can keep up the winning ways.

And such respectful comments after the game:
Sounds familiar, kinda like what ol' Matt Leinart said after UT beat them in 2005.
Carroll sure does teach respect for the opposing team. Why can't they ever just say "good game" or "we'll get 'em next time". Why does it always have to be about putting down the opponent who just beat you?

    You stay classy, L.A.

Last thing I'll mention about this issue since it's off topic, but...

Academic scandals were more focused on what's occurred at FSU. FSU also had a serious brawl on campus last year involving idiot football players.

Urban Meyer runs a "tight" program, like he has meals with his players and knows their gf's names. Okay...you know many other coaches also know information about their players as well. Most every team has team meals. Together.

There's a staggering difference between recruiting players with police records and having them be repeat offenders while enrolled in school. To say I "don't really care" to look it up and am biased is a pathetic reasoning. Am I biased? Sure, because I have valid reasons for not respecting UF other than they're now winning.

I'll gladly "look it up" for accuracy, since clearly you are mistaken.

0 in 2009?? REALLY?! Where the hell are you getting your information.

    Here's 2009 alone:

    JANORIS JENKINS
Charge: Misdemeanor affray and resisting arrest without violence for his role in a May 30, 2009 fight outside a downtown Gainesville night club.

    MARQUIS HANNAH
Charge: Felony burglary of an occupied dwelling unarmed and misdemeanor battery in late April 2009 for allegedly forcing his way into a Gainesville apartment and punching a man in the face.

    CARL JOHNSON
Charge: Misdemeanor violation of a sexual restraining order in February 2009 after getting on the same campus bus as an ex-girlfriend. The woman previously filed a petition claiming Johnson date-raped her on three occasions.

    RILEY COOPER
Charge: Misdemeanor resisting an officer and failure comply with a police or fire department in February 2009. Campus police cited Cooper for not getting out of the way of a moving car upon police’s orders, according to Johnson.

So, what's the academic scandal that happened at UF? Urban Meyer doesn't coach the Florida State football team. You said that UF has ignored their serious academic issues. I haven't seen any academic problems while Meyer has been coach.

That's my fault. I was in a hurry to get out the door when I was typing my reply and the article I pulled up was outdated. However, of the four players you listed, charges were dismissed/dropped in 3 of the cases, and one of two of the charges against Janoris Jenkins were dropped.

It's ok if you don't like UF or Meyer because he is UF's coach, but don't try to act like Meyer doesn't care about his players and let's mayhem reign. He tries his best to keep the player in line, but those that fall through the cracks he disciplines accordingly and gives them a chance to redeem themselves.
