Not really. They have an average defense, but a good offense. If they get a BCS bowl birth in a dome , they can beat anybody.
This has such a microcosm of Pitt's season. Up two scores in the 4th quarter against NC State? Countless opportunities to take control of the West Viriginia game and now likely losing to Cincy because of a missed extra point. You can only be so good before having a habit of shooting yourself in the foot catches up to you.
Play action on 4th and 10? With 22 seconds left? With 40 yards or so to enter FG range? Play action? Really?! Oh well, congrats to Cincy and this Tony Pike kid. The college spread is a gimmick offense that just about any competent QB is capable of running but he stepped up in the 4th quarter when it counts the most. Congrats to Cincy and to Brian Kelly for securing himself the ND job if he wants it.
Why in the world did Pit just do a playaction fake on 4th and 10 with 10 seconds left? I know they probably would not have won anyway but doing a playaction fake did not make any sense.

Don't know if you heard but my Dukes blew 17 point second half lead against Pitt last Wednesday in the City Game. I can honestly say it was probably the worst basketball game that i've ever seen in terms of fundamentals, execution and quality of play. Hell, i've seen high school games that were better.
I thought the same thing on that play. "Why the hell are they running play action?" I mean, seriously?
Can't wait for the Florida-Bama game. This is basically the BCS national championship game in my mind
