Well, if TCU and Boise are legit and TCU should be in the national title game, why should anyone be disappointed that they are playing each other? I mean, they deserve to be in the BCS, right? Several people here will argue that Boise and TCU are better than most of the other BCS teams, so it shouldn't be disappointing to see two undefeated teams play each other...
Also, interesting to note that Cinci finished #3 in the BCS, meaning they likely would have gone to the national title game had Texas lost.
So you really think Boise beating Iowa and TCU beating Georgia Tech would prove something? Since the addition of the 5th BCS game and the movement of Miami/BC/Va Tech to the ACC, the BCS bowls have all been really watered down...
It wouldn't prove anything but it would at least give them a shot to show themselves against the champions of other BCS conferences. It might not prove that they're the best team this year (and I don't believe either TCU or Boise are the best) but it would prove that they can hang with the other BCS conference champs which would definitely change a few minds. Regardless, if TCU wins, they'll be ranked in the top 3 for sure to start next year.
TCU vs. Florida in the Sugar Boise vs. Iowa in the Fiesta Cinci vs. GaTech in the Orange Let's find out just how good TCU is. No one thinks Boise is national-title caliber, but let's see how they do against a great defensive squad. The last game would be a high scoring shootout. All of those would be pick'em type games. The ones we got? Not so much.
Although the matchups may not be what we all would have wanted, we do have the top 10 teams in the BCS standings all in BCS games. It will be a good showcase of the best college football has to offer this year.
