Any chance Okiestate gets in? I believe I heard during the telecast OSU will pass bama in the computers it will be up to the humans and alot of them will have to change their vote...

I do think Bama is the best team but I think if you compare their best wins they are fairly close....

Beautiful bomb to Sammy Watkins. Looks like a Beamer team will lay another egg in a big game. Most everyone expected Clemson to lose the rematch (me included).

Landry Jones with the complete meltdown. Hard to believe some people had him on their Heisman lists earlier in the season.

Could Virginia Tech please fire Frank Beamer.

Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.. VT shouldn't have been ranked 5th anyway. Haven't beat anyone good.

If Beamer were fired, would VT hire a better coach? I don't think so.

I'm not sure, I mean as a fan I would hope so but whoever would replace him can't get much worse than him in big games. Of course they could just not play in big games all together.

Beamer is 1-19 against top 5 teams in his career. Hell VT made Clemson look like a top 5 team twice this year smh.

Honestly, Clemson has the talent to be a top 5 team. A lot of their players though are a bit wet behind the ears. They flat didn't come out to play 2 weeks in a row, proving once again that they are Clemson. But they could probably beat nearly any team on a neutral field when on their game and give LSU, Bama, & OSU a run for their money.

They might didn't show up against NC St. I will give you that.

But South Carolina is a rivalry game no way did Clemson not just show up for that game.

Personally I think Lsu, Bama, and Osu would destroy Clemson.

I think Clemson can content for the national championship next year. This was Tahj Boyd's first year as a starter. With the guys they have returning and another great recruiting class, they are a top 5 team. They aren't quite ready to compete with LSU & Alabama this year.

Wow, that record is worse than I ever dreamed of, but at least your team gets to play in big games. I think VT's football program will take a dive post-Beamer.

FWIW, Jerry Palm - the supposed BCS guru - says Baylor has a shot at a BCS Bowl. It's based on the premise that TCU won't jump enough to get in, which will free up a spot for KState or possibly Baylor if they move up enough. In that scenario, Baylor might be more attractive to a bowl due to RG3.

TCU is interesting. They need to move up 2 spots, and 2 teams just above them lost (Michigan State and Georgia). But a team a few spots below them, Clemson, beat a top 5 VaTech.

Baylor needs to move up 3 spots, and 2 teams just ahead of them lost. OU also lost, though they are currently 7 spots ahead of Baylor. Baylor could move up past idle Michigan as well though.

No doubt next year they have potential to be a top 5 team. Boyd was a sophomore and like you said it was his first year starting. Watkins was a freshman and they also had a new OC.

Next year they should win the ACC again.

I think Beamer should at least bring in an OC that is creative and can put some points on the board. That has been the problem during his era at VT.
