Glad to oblige. it was f-ing embarrassing to hear that NC talk, knowing how much this team actually sucks. Now just gotta root for Arkansas to f up the BCS.
This was Massacre Weekend for the top 10. #2, #4, #5, #7 go down and #9 is only up by one at halftime (but will likely win). Welcome to the top 10 UH!
WOW, so if Arkansas sqeuaks by LSU and wins out the SEC, do you think they should be over LSU in the title game?
Yes. A late season win on the road with neither team in the SEC championship game should put Arkansas in front.
I'm confused by this. You would get a repeat of what happened in the Big 12. (Texas, Oklahoma and Tech all having one loss and that loss being to another team in this group) Wouldn't Arkansas get in by default if they have the higher BCS ranking. Otherwise why wouldn't LSU get consideration since they beat Alabama.
Oregon deserved to lose after their decision to not use their timeouts. I still don't understand how college coaches trust their kickers.
SEC has a different tiebreaker. If the top two teams are next to each other in the BCS standings, the head to head winner of those two gets to go. So Arkie #1 and Alabama #2 would have Alabama go thanks to winning head to head. Everyone who was b****ing about the Big12 tiebreaker and saying we should have the SEC tiebreaker didn't account for any scenario besides ours. There are problems with ANY tiebreaker here, and this is the example. If the SEC had our tiebreaker, the highest BCS (Arkansas) would go.
Amazing that in a matter of 2 weeks, 3 teams have lost a chance at the national title due to short FG misses (Boise, OkieState, and Oregon). These were all shorter than 40 yard FGs at ends of games - the first two to win, Oregon to tie. That's going to haunt those kickers. Especially Boise, who finally had everything miraculously fall their way.
