The Aggies were spoon fed that last FG by the refs. They've played well though... 4th down now for Martinez... this is the game.
Very happy for the Aggies. We're witnessing the end of the greatest case of college football blue balls since the BCS formed. Gig em.
And down goes another Big 12 opponent. Aggies are playing damn well since the QB switch. Defense Ruled this one. So Long Nebraska! Fun game. Go Aggies.....err....Gig 'em!
It's going to be a fun thanksgiving game. Time for UT to play as the underdog trying to upset their ranked instate rival.
It will be sad to see Nebraska leaving for real though... Always loved their defense in the Big 12. Texas has more to gain from that game, I'm looking forward to it more now. Game makes it bowl eligible for Texas. Been a tough year, but I'd like them to go out strong.
Aside from 2-3 questionable penalties including that personal foul on the late hit or above the head call (whichever one it was), it was pretty fairly called. Bad calls are going to happen though... I think Pelini was frustrated at his offense but he was looking to take it out of the refs because nothing was going his way. That Nebraska defense is still phenomenal.
How does A&M still have a shot in the south? The winner of OSU/OU will have a better overall record (which is the tiebreaker at this point). On SC Brent and Herbstreit were saying that A&M still has a chance but didn't elaborate.
I think I missed reading this part. I don't think they have a shot. Oklahoma and OK. State are the only two teams that have a shot at winning the big 12 south.
Technically, it's still possible - though highly unlikely: In a three-way tie at 6-2, OU will have beaten OSU, OSU will have beaten A&M and A&M will have beaten OU. All would have a loss to a North Division team. Which means the tiebreaker is BCS. That's right, BCS. Who would win the tiebreak in such a scenario? OSU is 10th, OU 14th and A&M 19th in this week's BCS. But a victory over Nebraska would shoot the Aggies up, and a Bedlam win would lift the Sooners. So probably OU, but you never know. The only thing I can think of is if OU beats OK State... that A&M beat OU and that they would still have a shot that way? That's the only thing I'm finding.
Basically, if A&M beats Texas by 80 while OU squeaks by OSU 2-0 while A&M flies some "33-19" flags over the stadium, maybe voters put A&M above OU, and they manage to win the BCS tiebreaker.
Well then, I guess A&M would have to get some help from the voters. That last game against Texas does mean a lot then for A&M for their small shot at the Big 12 title game.
Texas is going to give the useless GDGD a proper send off by destroying and killing A&M's chances of winning the south.
I honestly want Texas to win more because of the bowl game than because it's against A&M. It'll be a wild atmosphere at ... I may go.
