Les Miles is the dumbest coach when it comes to Xs and Ox/common sense that I've ever seen. He's incredible.
Go back to your hole. You don't belong in the hangout. You have never once contributed anything worthwhile here. (Or the D&D for that matter, but that's that forum's problem)
My previous post was from the result of the game. Laughing at LSU....quite the FAIL. They had EVERY chance to win that thing at the end....and blew it.
I don't know who the Coach is for Yale, but apparently with Yale holding a 10-7 lead against Harvard with a little over 2 minutes left in the game, he decided to run a Fake Punt on 4th and 22 from this own 25 yard line. Play fails, Harvard comes back and wins 14-10. I thought these people were supposed to be smart?
Sorry, but I'm discussing college football, and Rice just won its second game in a row, so I'm going to post about it. Especially with Rice defeating a team that took down our biggest rival. That's the point of this thread - to discuss college football. Al Calavicci was the one who came in here with guns blazing with the insults.
That was incredible. For anyone who didn't see: 1) Down two and needing the conversion, Miles calls a fade... from the one-yard line 2) On 3rd and 20 from the 42 and needing just a few yards to reach the fringe of field-goal range, Miles calls a poorly developed screen five yards behind the line 3) After said screen, 25 seconds remained... fourth down... there was no real reason to "hold" the final timeout, since for the game to go on, you'd have to pick up a first down anyway... which would stop the clock. But Miles waits until 9 seconds left and then calls timeout 4) On the 4th and 26, they actually convert the 40-yard hail mary... and the clock stops with one second at the 7 as they move the sticks. I'm not sure if the field goal team would've had time to come on, but they weren't anywhere near the sideline, even if they could have. But what I am sure of is that you sure as hell can't spike the ball when there's one second left, you have to run a play of some sort... and Les opts for the spike. Game. It's a complete joke for the coach at a major college football program to screw up even one of the above situations. To bungle all of them within a single minute is just mind-boggling. That took stupidity to an entirely new level.
Your ratio of posts to discuss stuff vs. posts just to piss people off is a little one-sided here, or so popular opinion seems to think.
Tell me about it. My little cousin is a freshman on that Yale team and the game was televised on Versus. I was quite puzzled over that myself. Is there anything more painful than watching two teams full of white guys trying to play football?
I disagree with you, but if you get your jollies from thinking that, then great, you and Al Calavicci can continue to think that way. It doesn't bother me a bit. Now how about you two quit derailing this thread and let's discuss college football? Just a thought. I'd like to see how Kansas responds tonight, given what Mangino has been in the news for this week. I think UT-Austin will win big.
Nice change in your tune there. And I never said it myself, broseph, so let's stop with the assumptions k? **snicker** How did UTEP fumble 5 times? Did someone put Crisco in the ballsack? (pun intended)
