"wussed out"? you mean the big teams won't play tcu? even texas tech backed out of tcu this year.....
the wussed out? hmmmk. Doesn't help when the way the BCS is based upon, teams don't want to play the likes of TCU when they can play teams like Florida Atlantic.... Hate all you want. You're just being bitter because UT is one of the worst teams in Tx. Anyways. This #3 in AP...and BCS. How sweet it is. Go Alabama!
lol... This honestly has nothing to do with the state of TX or UT. I'm just hoping for a good national championship game... that's it.
A little late but BCS standings: Team BCS Average 1 Oregon .9638 2 Auburn .9611 3 TCU .9259 4 Boise State .8662 5 LSU .8170 6 Stanford .7454 7 Wisconsin .7349 8 Nebraska .7298 9 Ohio State .6613 10 Oklahoma State .6211 11 Michigan State .6180 12 Alabama .5490 13 Iowa .5223 14 Utah .4669 15 Arkansas .4569 16 Oklahoma .3900 17 Missouri .3511 18 Arizona .3200 19 Mississippi State .3169 20 Virginia Tech .2647 21 Nevada .1981 22 Florida .0825 23 South Carolina .0807 24 Kansas State .0765 25 Texas A&M .0694
A question for the BCS scholars here: Is it safe to say that Auburn will pass Oregon for the top BCS ranking if they beat Georgia and Alabama? I'm asking because the two are practically tied right now and Alabama will give Auburn a boost in strength of schedule. Oregon still has Arizona but they are lower ranked than Bama.
No - Auburn is already 1st in the computers, so they can't gain anything more there. They could pass Oregon, but it would be based on voters. Right now, almost all the voters have Oregon at #1, so Auburn would need to start taking those votes. Oregon is behind TCU in the computers as well, so they still have the ability to gain ground on Auburn there if they can move from #3 to #2.
Actually we were supposed to play Arkansas this year and they pulled out. Last year we were supposed to face another big team (forget who) and they pulled out. No one in a tough conference wants to play TCU as a non-conference game anymore. So we can't win. No big programs? Well, we played one Big 12 school this season and blew them out and won on the road against a Pac-10 school. Last season we beat an SEC team and an ACC team. Not much else we can do.
