AGGIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! greatest game I've ever been to. About time they gave us something to cheer about. on a side note, what in the hell is going on with Texas? did they just pull an A&M and lose to K-state?
Being an out of State Aggie, they finally did something worth watching on National TV. It has been a LONG time since we have had a game where we even kept it close, let alone won, against a highly ranked opponent (well I guess the last Texas game was close). Makes you wonder what could have been if Jerrod had been benched early on when it was obvious his arm is not recovered. Looking at the schedule, K-State, Baylor, and Texas are all tough, but winnable games. 8-4 or even 9-3 are still a possibility which is amazing after that Mizzou game.
Not to get your hopes up too much, but if you win out and OU beats OSU, it's possible y'all win the B12 South Title - not sure how the tiebreaker would work in that whole mess.
keep seeing media types and such write about how TCU blasting Utah today was actually bad since now voters/pollsters will think utah just stinks and not give as much credit to TCU. what in the hell is TCU supposed to do? keep it close? they're in a lose lose situation. win by a TD and they'll say they got lucky or arent as good. blow em out and utah just isnt that good. ridiculous. i also see no way how boise could even jump into the conversation at this point. both auburn and oregon lose, then maybe?
Don't worry ... I have been trained very well to not get my hopes up. Plus I screwed up and we play Nebraska, not K-State. I also believe we lose in that tiebreaker situation. I'll just be happy with a bowl win ... any bowl win at this point.
Assuming we win out, we would win any tie breaker (since we'd have won the head to head match up) except for OSU, so we need OSU to lose to both OU and Texas (let's not kid outselves, they're not gonna lose to Kansas). Unfortunately with the way Texas has been playing there's a better chance OSU loses to Kansas than to Texas. So it will be real tough for us to win the B12 south, but hey anything is possible.
Boise has a huge advantage in the polls and will gain in the computers over the coming weeks as more teams lose games. TCU is pretty much maxed out in the computers, so they don't have a lot of upside. I think Boise would overtake TCU over the next month unless the voters start moving votes from them to TCU.
Well, I was thinking a 3-way tie between OU, A&M, and OSU. That would require A&M to win out and OU to just beat OSU. All three teams would have a round-robin with each other and then have a loss to a North team, so I don't know what happens there. Probably the BCS tiebreaker like Texas had a few years ago.
Actually, looking at it more closely, with OU, Mizzou, and Alabama losing today, Boise probably passes up TCU this week due to the computers - unless TCU wins over a lot of voters. And Boise still has the Nevada game left to impress people/computers, whereas TCU is basically done.
TCU is already #3 in the computers; unless you think they jump Oregon or Auburn, they have nowhere up to go.
No surprise with Texas. K-State is good. I guess the final score was a little nuts. That RB at K-State will have the best NFL career of anyone in college football right now. With the exception of the Mizzou game I thought TAMU has looked good all year... but they gotta figure something out with the QB situation. Tannehill is a disaster waiting to happen.
