Colt has been a fine college quarterback and probably should have won the Heisman last year. It does not mean he should win the award this year.
I agree. And yea, I don't think Colt deserves the Heisman this year with his numbers, but Heisman trophy has become an award for the leader of the best team for the regular season, and no longer about stats. Based on this, I think Colt has a shot.
Colt might win the Heisman by default this year. He hasn't had nearly the year he did last year, but no one else is really distinguishing themselves. Clausen probably eliminated himself today. Tebow has looked much worse than Colt this year. Bradford's out. Running backs need monster seasons to win it, and none are really having that. Case Keenum seems the best choice from a stats perspective, but from a non-BCS conference, it seems you'd need to go undefeated to collect enough voters.
Once he breaks the all time wins record the media pub will go through the roof. Couple that with the Susan Lucci style diss from last year, a possible undefeated Texas season and no one else seperating themselves..... and yes I do think Colt wins without mirroring 07 numbers.
Actually I hope Colt wins the Heisman, because then we'll know for sure he'll be a ****ty NFL QB and DaDa will be wrong once again.
Damn, Penn St is getting punked down by OSU. This is shocking. Looks like Pryor will finally get that elusive signature win.
