Regardless, ut got lucky. And you have3 more years of Graham, crackers! (sorry, it's all I got. Tech reallly should've won this game.)
Jamaal Charles' two fumbles show why he's splitting time with Young. PS where is the greg davis praise?
The playcalling yesterday was great. There was very little, if any, sideways passing. They trusted their QB and were rewarded for it. Even when we were down 21-0, I had no issues with the playcalling. The problem only crops up in certain games. Unfortunately, it's very obvious when it happens.
Um, no. The offense was never played like they were under pressure and the defense made the defensive stops whent they needed them. They won that game because they're the better team, not because they got lucky. P.S. I'm normally not a big fan of Greg Davis, but he called a hell of a game yesterday. That's how we should approach all games.
Davis called the same game he always does - he took what was offered by the defense. He would tell you that himself.
The playcalling for the offense was fantastic, yesterday. The offense ran incredibly well when they didn't turnover the ball. Greg Davis had a fantastic game. He just needs to develop consistency. Charles does need to work on protecting the ball.
Both Charles and Selvin Young fumbled...... Charles is by far the better runner and could be great, but he HAS to hold on to the rock. DD
Then he'd be lying. Greg Davis, Mack Brown, many former players, scouts, etc have all said that he has called games too conservatively many times. Against OU this year, Mack Brown made him change his playcalling at halftime - OU's defense didn't suddenly start just giving him something different. He just was not allowing his players to make plays, and the coaches admitted as much. Your defense of GD is comical in the face of their own comments. Anyway, the offense and playcalling was great yesterday. The only times they got stopped for the most part were turnovers.
Mack jokingly asked Craig Sager if they could get out of their deal with TBS in his post game interview. BTW next weeks game against Okie State is on TBS at 6 pm.
Ah yes, once again in order to take a dump on Greg Davis, you're b****ing about a game that Texas won and assailing his halftime adjustments as proof of the fact he is not Jesus Christ walking the earth. keep at it Major, I can't think at anything that illustrates my point about unfair criticism more...no matter how much begrudging praise you lavish upon him after being prompted to do so. Edit: actually that's wrong, I can think of many better examples.
I'm a big fan of Charles. Holding onto the ball and catching the ball have been his biggest weaknesses. Next year will be his breakout year since I don't think he'll have a seasoned backup to split carries. I'm hoping he can become one of those backs that average about 7 yards a carry, but would like to see him get a few more receptions.
What's wrong with tu? Used to be known as texas university. traditions die hard. Good to see your fellow longhorn there with new traditions...Anyway, this year's potentially setting up to be a good matchup between the old rivals, hopefully both teams will win out the rest of the games before the big game. Gig Em Aggies!
