You're not being fair to the defense. In the 1st half, Harrell was just making unbelievable reads and hitting everybody and his receivers were making catches in good coverage. Most of the time, the passes were exactly where it needed to be. He was so pumped up but you can't be perfect the whole game.

That's the problem with Tech's offense. It has to be precise and always accurate and if you're out of rhythm, the wheels just stop.

Texas applied much more pressure in the 2nd half and our time of possession on offense with the running game gave the defense a breather.

The fact we lost a couple of fumbles in our own territory and Tech couldn't score had as much to do with us as them screwing up.

Im pretty sure even if you guys scored, there would have been at least 3 minutes in the game.

Tech's defense was not super effective as evidenced by the fact they couldn't get the ball back even with 2 timouts and 4 minutes remaining.

UThad 22 less yards overall, and 3 more first downs than OSU.

They got beat, but they weren't 'dominated'.

Awesome showing by Tech; Well done.

Too bad this team didn't show up every week this year.

The Tech QB looked outstanding, though I HATED the defense the Longhorns were running, I wanted more man to man and bump and run with more pressure on the QB.

Buddy Ryan would tear that offense up.....turn it into the CHUCK and DUCK baby !!

    HOOK EM !!

If UT wins out, and doesn't get the play in the national championship game, that will be a shame, especially if Ohio State beats Michigan.

I don't care about the SEC (FLA lost to Auburn and Ten lost to FLA.)

Texas' only loss came to Ohio State (the BEST team in the nation), so I hope Ohio State beats Michigan because it makes our only loss to the best team.

And Texas is the defending champ, and has earned the right to defend it.

If Michigan beats Ohio State and Notre Dame wins out, then I can see an argument that Notre Dame and Michigan should meet in the National Championship.

West Virginia and Louisville don't count.

    Perhaps you're gay...

Seriously, it was a well played game. The fact that Tech had THREE times where it was btw inches that they had the first down made the difference.

That said, horrible play calling by Leach in the second half. texas won. But just barely.

Either way, it finally looks like Harrell has his saunter back. And, unlike the others, he'll be here for 3 more years.

And one more aside: The NFL always looks past Tech recruits. The Texans really need to look at Hicks. He's on par with Zach Thomas and Wes Welker right now, and could be an easy pick in the 4th round.

EDIT: GEEZ! This is Tx Tech Fatty talking here! I'm really getting tired of going onto someone's computer without realizing whether I'm logged in or not.

I'm glad tu beat Texas Tech, it'll make the tu-Texas A&M game that much better. Colt McCoy is a helluva a QB with great poise for a freshman, you longhorn fans should feel lucky to have him. Overall, a good game tonight, TTU is a team that plays tough in Lubbock and with their passing game it almost doesn't matter who they face, they will air the ball out and sometimes they get lucky. tu should feel fortunate to get out of lubbock with a win.

It seems that the Horns have been having to play catchup in their last few games. Falling behind early. IIRC.

    Fun game though.
