Well it does seem pretty obvious that football injuries have the potential to be more damaging and severe. Frankly, when I become a parent, it's not even this level of injury I'm worried about - though it would be a very very valid concern - but more of the spinal injury type events. Yes, you do see more players recovering from those these days, but you still see a good deal of those injuries, and that is something that is easily avoided by pushing your kid towards baseball, or basketball, or golf, or tennis, or anything else...
