Selvin will get most of the early carries on Saturday, he tweaked his ankle vs ULAL, but he says its fine. You will definitely see some Taylor, Charles, and Melton sharing the carries though.

I was at the Horseshoe today, and it is already littered with trailers by all of the media companies. And if you are attending Saturday's game, don't mind the construction crews. With the largest campus in the States and one of the biggest, if not the biggest, rec center just opening, things are messy. That being said, I think the Bucks win 22-13.

I agree, unless he doesn't do well. If things aren't going well, you have to give Melton and the other guys a chance. These guys have a chance to bring a completely different look to the team and have to be used. I'll be pissed if Greg Davis is scared to play them and we lose.

    Anyways...

The Horns have a gigantic line with experience and a 1-2-3 punch at RB most teams could only drool over. We have the best defensive in all of college football. We have a speedy, veteran secondary that's top notch. We have great speed at linebacker. We have veteran leadership and the one with the reigns just happens to be the BEST player in college football today.

    Plus we have hotter chicks.

Actually, it was wrong of me. I hope he doesn't get injured like McGee and I will edit it.

I think that the freshmen RBs will get 20 carries between the two of them. I think that you've got to pound Melton through their linebackers even if you run the chance of the fumble. Just coach the young guys to stay within themselves , be patient, and most importantly, take care of the ball.

I have to drive to San Antonio from Austin and be at work by 11:00, so I hope that it's a blowout by then. Nothing is more frustrating than hitting 5 minute mark in the 4th quarter of a close game when the damn a.m. station loses its signal. Trying to decipher the action from the engine noise in the radio mixed in with spanish music from another distant station is frustrating as hell.

That happened with the Rose Bowl, but I was able to run into the bar and see the kick as it happened so all was not lost.

My prediction is Texas 14, ****ing Ohio State 10

And I find it funny that Willis McGahee's name was brought up. I still remember the night he got hurt by that cheap shot hit. I heard from people how his career was over (one person in particular told me in the chatroom that Willis would never play again). And what do we have here?? McGahee is in the NFL with the Bills and is predicted to rush for over a 1,000 yards this season. I am glad to see that all of those Nostradamus wannabes were wrong.

I've never understood why you were/are so upset about that. I was watching that game in Dallas at a sports bar that all the Miami fans watched the games. When that play happened and everyone saw the horrific replay, all the Miami guys we were talking to said the same thing. It certainly looked like a career ending injury.

I didnt think Allens hit on McGahee was a cheap shot. I remember reading about Allen not knowing McGahee was hurt when he celebrated. He said he thought he just made a great play. Didnt McGahee and Allen talk and patch things up as well? I think it was one of those plays that looks bad but happens in football unintentionally.

BTW, I am a Buckeye fan but a McGahee fan as well (my son loves Miami) and am glad to see him make the remarkable journey back to be the player he is now. I remember watching tape on ESPN showing how hard Willis was working to get back in shape to play. What a story for that kid. I bet he gets his 1,000 this year too.

Looks like the smart money is going towards Ohio St. The line is creeping in their direction, and now is favoring Ohio St by -1 to -1.5 depending on the book.

UT looked anything but spectacular last week, and Mack always chokes on the big game. I expect an Ohio State whoopin', leaving Texas Tech alone on top, with an eventual finish as Big XII champion.

Poor longhorns; always the bridesmaid, never the bride.
