I'm sure Melton is going to hear an earful when he gets back to Austin. He needed to know this wasn't the Rajun Cajuns he was going against, run fast, run hard, lower your shoulder and let them catch a ride on the 275lbs you're carrying.

BTW, I fully expect to see full doses of Charles in the upcoming games. That kid showed a ton of poise out there.

 

Make a poll. He should have to keep the sign until next years UT vs OSU game.

 

Haha I was thinking that but I thought it would be more fun if i kept the until UT loses thing cuz then he will keep an eye on every game and actually feel the pain every time UT wins.

Although it could backfire, but its still fun if it lasts till january or past it.

Was a good effort by your guys. I would like to suggest to OSU before the next game that they go ahead and kick field goals on 2nd down as soon as they get into the opponents half of the field since that seems to be all they want to do anyway.

Wow, now games like that are what college football is all about! Awesome win for the Longhorns, but I just love seeing games like that between to big time programs. I only wish there were more games like this early in the season.

What a game!! After the winning TD pass, I was running through BW3 high-fiving every Texas fan I could find. Some UT fan picked me up then accidentally dropped me on my back, but I didn't care...we just took the lead. After the game was over, we all went nuts and tried to get payment from the tOSU fan who bet us $20 after they were up 16-13 that they would win, but the p***y wouldn't pay up.

What a win!!!!!

OSU lost this game. Half of their field goals could have easily been touchdowns.

I thought they would win big, especially after the start they got off to. It will be tough to beat this one for game of the year. Vince may have thrown 2 INT's, but he is the man. He didn't back down. He THREW strikes all night. I know he's had better stats in games in the past, but this was by far his best passing game as a Longhorn.

They pick up a few 1st place votes after this one. USC is still #1 by far, but UT is closing in.

What a game. I'm telling ya'll, I've been following UT since the early '70s, and have not had a really good feeling about the squad since the 80's, till now. This team has incredible potential.

I still feel like Davis' play calling is far to conservative... no, it just sux, and Mack still does not appear to get teams in an emotional state where they can reach their full potential. That said, this team is so special that it may not need either, esp since the defense will be downright scary by year's end.

 

Wow. This game lived up to the billing. I'm a UT grad and at no point did I feel comfortable about our chances. But, my how things change:

A little over a year ago Mack Brown was on the hot seat after a horrific loss to WSU in the Holiday Bowl and the knock on him was he can't win a big game. Now look at his reputation: wins over Michigan in the granddaddy of them all, and over OSU in the shoe(where they had never lost a night game, only reason I bring it up is their fans harped on it all the time). Who says he can't win the big one now? And, yes he has vince to thank for that, and a stout defense.

I am so proud of the Horns tonight. OSU gave them their best shot, and they took it and responded like champs when the chips were down. And to anybody who questioned whether Vince could handle himself without Cedric, you have a profound answer.

Great win for UT but the offense really looked stagnant at times. They should beat OU for sure, but if they expect to win in Aggieland and win a national championship game, that offense must get more creative. Too many of the plays just seemed wasted and hopeless. The Buckeyes blew this game. They could have a tough time getting over a loss like this.

 

I expect that Charles is going to improve rapidly with all the touches he'll be getting. Melton could have a significant impact later also, but I think he has farther to go than Charles.

Ramonce had only 2 touches tonight. What was that about?
