Well, they have a chance. With the new NCAA rules if they are ranked 12 or higher they are automatically in.

If they are ranked 16 or above and they have a better record than an auto bid conference winner, they are automatically in.

Just win out the season, like they have to EVERY season. :) ;)

Just got back from the game. WOW. My predictions were unfortunately correct.

This game was the most attrocious football game I've ever watched, collegiate or otherwise. Tech flat out sucked.

I've never in my lifetime witnessed a QB make dumber decisions, or watched receivers drop a gimme ball as if their hands were coated in butter.

We were simply Gawd-awful. I went back to the tailgate party afterwards, and it was similar to a wake. EVERY FREAKING ONE of my frat boys decided to just go home and not even go out. It was so depressing that T Rex and I decided to just screw Dallas and drove home.

To TCU fans: Did you not watch the game? It honestly looked like both teams wanted to give this game away. I saw NO TCU fan that was thrilled with the win. IMO, it looks like both teams were awful.

I'll congratulate TCU on the win, but it wasn't pretty by any means. TCU only had 1 significant drive. Of course, Tech had ZERO.

Amazing how you can do so well one year, and so crappy the next.

And after seeing him, I thing Graham Harrell sucks big time.

And now, I have nothing. Astros suck. Texans suck. Tech sucks. And I'm not exactly giddy about the Rox either.

    I need a drink.

But I doubt that, even with that, they'll get to the Championship Game, as cool as it would be to see them there.

Being in a BCS Bowl would be pretty cool, too, for TCU.

I think they're going to have to get a bit better to get there, though. But a win is a win. On to next week.

But see that's the thing, even when you play your worst and look horrible, but you still win....it's a HUGE plus.

Tech as CRAP, TCU played horrible too. Ballard didn't look good at all, but they managed to win an ugly game. They happen, all the time in eveyr sport.

I'm just happy we won 13 in a row, and Tech was shooting blanks.

(all those raider fans making that gun with their hands at the game....lol)

I'm very happy over the win. When you can win a game while at your worst, you are definetly doing something right.

Just glad that Tech decided to suck worse that night. 13 wins in a row, and 16th in the nation! WHOOOP!

It was a big win for TCU, adding to their 4 game winning streak over Big12 teams.

It's hard for me to get too excited, though, because while I am enjoying TCU's success because I live in the Metroplex (and have lived very close to the campus in Fort Worth) and known some grads (and did almost go to grad school there a couple of years back), I did actually attend Texas Tech at one point.

So, I wish TCU well and hope to see them in a BCS Bowl, but I am a bit sad at the loss (especially since it came with such a poor performance. It's one thing to get beat. It's another to only score 3 points when you're used to scoring into the double digits by the end of the 1st Quarter).

FORT WORTH, Texas -- TCU coach Gary Patterson gets tired of having his program compared to the Big 12 schools in his state.

That's what made the Horned Frogs' 12-3 victory over Texas Tech so sweet. It marked the Horned Frogs' fourth straight victory over a Big 12 team in the last two seasons after beating Oklahoma and Iowa State last year and Baylor in their season opener.

"People have been underselling our kids for years. All they ever want to do is talk about the Big 12," Patterson said. "The biggest thing is that our kids deserve better."

After it was over, the Horned Frogs celebrated the exorcism of a bad memory after yielding 70 points to the Red Raiders in a 2004 loss at Lubbock. It led them to wear bracelets inscribed with "Make it Personal" on their wrists for the last two years.

"I get tired of getting treated like a stepchild in this state and in this town," Patterson said. "My kids did, too. We gave up 70 points two years ago. We were waiting for this one for a long time."
